Ch. 7

Tony and Luna sat on the C-17 waiting to land back in L.A for the first time in three months. When they landed Luna held onto Tony as they walked down the plan to see Pepper. Luna ran to Pepper and gave her a hug. Luna and Pepper were super close, so close that you would think that they are sisters. "Your eyes are red. A few tears for your long-lost boss?" Luna turned to see Tony super close to Pepper.
"Tears of joy. I hate job hunting." We got into the car to see Happy in the front seat.
"Hi Happy! It's good to see you again."
"It's good to see you too kid. I'm glad that you come back safe." Happy paused and looked back at Tony. "Where to, Mr.Stark?"
"I've been in captivity for three months. There are only two things I want to do. I want to eat a cheeseburger. And I want to hold a press conference."
"I'd like to second the cheeseburger idea. You know, now that I think about it I turned sixteen while I was in captivity," said Luna. Tony looked at Luna and smiled.
"I know. Happy late birthday kiddo! Sorry we had to spend it in captivity."
Luna smiled, "That's okay. I'm just glad we're free." Happy drive the car into the Burger King drive-thru and got both Tony and Luna a cheeseburger. They are in silence as they arrived at one of the Stark industries buildings. The press covered all sides of the car as both Starks got out and walked into the building. Tony was met by Obadiah at the door, Luna hung back with Pepper because she knew that Obadiah was never going to let her speak for the company. Luna was in her own world when she saw Phil Coulson walk up to Pepper.
"You're going to have to take a seat, sir."
"Oh, I'm not a reporter. I'm Agent Phil Coulson with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."
"That's a mouthful."
"I know, here." Luna watched as Coulson gave Pepper their card. Luna smiles because she hasn't exactly told Pepper where she works when she isn't with Tony.
"Look, Mr.Coulson, we've already spoken with the D.O.D, the FBI, the CIA...."
"Pepper, I know this all sounds crazy. This is the department that I work for because of my, well special needs." Pepper looked over a Luna and realized what she was talking about. Luna could never talk about her powers in public so she uses a code name to talk about it.
"Now could you take your seat Mr.Coulson." Coulson began to leave.
"Bye Phil." Coulson turned and smiles at Luna.
"Bye Luna. See you tomorrow." Pepper looked between Phil and Luna.
"How long have you been working for a government agency?"
"Ever since I got my special needs..." Luna was going to continue, but Tony began his press conference.
"What happened over there?" Luna heard a reporter ask.
"Luna and I had our eyes opened, that's what happened. We saw weapons, with our name on them, in the hands of thugs. I thought we were doing good here... I can't say that anymore." Luna listened but was trying not to focus much on what the reporters were asking Tony. Her head snapped up when she heard Tony announce, "Right now, as if this second, we are freezing the sale of all Stark weaponry worldwide." She looked at her older brother in shock. She knew that what he saw bothered him, but his entire reputation was now at risk. People began to crowd around Tony, and when they saw that he wasn't going to say anything they ran over to Luna. She had severe claustrophobia, so when she was surrounded by hundreds of reporters she began to freak out. Pepper grabbed Luna's hand to lead her away from everybody and to get her to calm down. Luna looked Pepper in the eye after getting away from the reporters and said: "I need to talk to Coulson. Tessa keeps telling me something is going to happen and I don't know what to do." Pepper looked at Luna trying to understand what she was saying. Pepper knew that Luna had Tessa inside her head, and because of that she had her powers. She knew more about Luna's powers than anybody else including Tony.
"What can I do to help you Luna?"
"Please don't get hurt, I can't lose you Pepper. You're like a sister to me."
"I swear on my life Luna that you won't lose me ever."
"You promise?"
"I promise."
"The lets figure out what the hell these visions mean."
