Patrick woke up in the hospital. He looked around, completely confused. All these people were standing around him, crying and frowning. He just titled in his head in confusion.
"What's wrong?" he asked. "Why am I here?" everyone looked confused. "Who are you? No. Actually. Who am I?"
Everyone gasped.
"No...this can't be true," Miku said, crying.
"Patrick. Patrick it's me," Maddy said, over and over again. "It's Maddy."
"Maddy who?" he questioned. He was so confused.
"What about me? You remember me, right?" Vicky asked. He shook his head. She cried.
*TIME SKIP*
"I'm going away," Alec said to everyone. They decided to meet up outside of the hospital room to not confront Patrick too much. "I'm going away for a long time."
"What do you mean?" Miku asked.
"I can't do this," Alec said. "I can't see Patrick like this. And I don't want him looking at me without any memories in left. You don't know how much he means to me," he glared over to Alex, who rolled his eyes and glanced away. "So I'm going away. Zane and Glenn are coming with me."
"So you're pretending that you never existed for Patrick?" Maddy crossed her arms. "That's not a good idea."
"You're not stopping me," Alec swung his jacket over his shoulder. "I'll see you guys later."
"...if ever..." Vicky whispered.
There was a moment of silence between the group.
"Well Alex," Taylah ebgan. "You're welcome to join our group if you need us. I know it must be a hard time for you."
Alex thought about it for a moment, "You know what? Yeah, yeah I'll joi nthe group."
They smiled amongst themselves, though the smile was mostly forced and they couldn't bring themselves to actually laugh.
"I think that the best thing to do is to pretend that nothing happened," Vicky said. Everyone just decided to agree, even though no one actually thought that it was a good idea.
So they did. They all told Patrick that they were a group of six, with regular weekly meet ups.
"We usually play truth or dare," Taylah forcefully laughed.
"Wow. That sounds fun," Patrick said, trying to get out of his hospital bed.
"Yeah. You'll get your memories back soon. I promise."
Patrick didn't remember them, but the longer he stared, the more he seemed to remember. Especially that boy. Maybe it was his awkward smile and his lanky body. But he somehow felt this...connection. There was something between them.
He smiled over, "I'm Alex," he said, reaching for him. Patrick grinned widely.
"Patrick."
