All torches are passed down.
For Number One Hero Bakugou Katsuki, this was no different. He shared the title with Deku; it was only logical that he left it behind when Deku needed to.
And so time came and went.
And the Hero World was no more.
Being reincarnated was a strange feeling.
In this world, quirks did not exist. It was as if they had turned back into the era before quirks developed in humans. Perhaps he would ironically call it the ancient times.
The minute he remembered himself, he hated it. It was like he was useless Deku now, quirkless and talentless.
In a quiet countryside town by the sea, there was no one to fight, no hero needed to save any world.
For the first time in both of his lives, he had peace and silence. And he hated it.
He had a temper. It needed to be muffled down after he became the Symbol of Peace, but it never really went away. In this world, it came back full force.
He no longer had a quirk to blast someone's face off anymore. He didn't have a way to release all the pent up tension in his shoulder except scream into the seas and hoped some god would take it as a challenge.
(You sound like a villain.)
(Oh, shut up.)
So he did the next best thing.
He cooked.
He raided a bar by the port and took over the kitchen in less than a day. The shits that sucked could go cry outside if they hated it. After all, even without a quirk (fuck you Deku no I'm not acknowledging you) he still had one thing-- and that was cooking.
He was the master in the kitchen. He was the law in the restaurant. This place was his turf, and no one, no one, will ever change that.
-
Almost like a jinx, the situation really did change.
Alice, she called herself. And she reminded him of something he really didn't want to remember.
After all, even in his past, he got rattled over by girls who weren't scared of him. Particularly that one brown-haired soy sauce face of a girl that actually got cocky after a couple times...
(Uraraka almost got you with that one, didn't she?)
(Shut up, I still won!!)
But she wasn't her. There were similarities, but even Uraraka was never this prideful. That girl was humble and he would give her that.
But Alice. Alice was an utter pain in the ass.
She wouldn't leave. Just planted herself into the bar like she owned the country and decided to get herself served. Who did she think she was? She had absolutely no manners or tact!
