Todays a new Day

I wake with the sun piercing my eyelids and my kittens soft purr. I turn over and look at the time, 6:30. I swing my legs over the side of my bed and stretch my arms. I walk into my bathroom, tripping over my feet. Willow follows closely behind. My bathrooms sweet breezy beach smell fills the bathroom. I sigh and rinse my face. My kitten pushes of my hair brush and it drops on the floor with a loud Thud! "Willow!" I scowl. She meows and walks into the other room. "Silly cat," I whisper to myself. I grab my brush and brush my tangly hair. I turn on my curling iron and begin to make my hair bouncy. My outfit hangs in the closet and I grab it and begin putting it on. "Katniss dear, are you ready?" My mother yells from the kitchen. "I a minute!" I shout. I put on my white shirt, teal skirt, white flats, and some makeup. I grab my phone and my teal necklace and sprint down the stairs. Prim sits at the table reading a book and eating cereal. "Hey Kat." She greets. "Hi little duck." I answer. My mom hands me a container with cheese buns fresh from the bakery, my favorite. I say bye to everyone and walk out of the door. Madge walks down the curb listening to music. "MADGE!" I shout. She looks up and catches a glimpse of me. "Kat!" She exclaims. She wraps me in a bear hug and smiles. "Come on we'll be late for school." She states. I fumble for my keys and open my car door. It is a lime green mustang with shiny new wheels. "So, how's life?" She asks. "Awesome" I answer. "U?" I question. "Great!" She exclaims with joy. "Guess what!" She declares. "Mmm....what?" "I got a boyfriend and his name is Gale" she squeals.
