James sat in darkness when he was returned to his cell. You see, MegaBucket thought it was a good idea to see if he would tell them information if he couldn’t see what was about to happen. ‘Pretty dumb if you ask me’ James thought to himself.After a few hours there was a lot of noises outside of his cell. Not even a few minutes later the door opened and James looked up as if trying to see the person. When he heard “James. My Primus, what’d they do to you” James tried smiling while also trying to forget about the wounds that were scattered all over his body. He was gently lifted to his feet. He tried to stand but almost collapsed when he remembered that one of his feet was broken. He got caught before he could hit the ground and was coaxed into leaning against Alex. Together they made their way out of the building where he has held for the past three weeks. Once they were out James heard shouts of his name and all sorts of questions. He looked in Alex’s direction and a few seconds later “Alright quiet down everyone. James will tell you his answers when he feels like it. Now get out of our way!!” James smiled in Alex’s direction and buried his face into his neck. They got to Alex’s car and James was helped into the back seat. While Alex put a seatbelt around him James managed to speak three words that meant the universe, to Alex at least. “I..l-love……..y-y-you” Alex softly said “I know and I love you too but try to get some rest while we get to base alright” James nodded his head slowly and with a kiss pressed to his forehead he fell asleep.

~ Once at the base ~

When James woke up he felt that something was bound around his head and tried to get it off. Peter walked in and stopped him “Calm down James it just so that you won’t scare people. We don’t think any different of you but you’ll need other eyes or something else to replace them.” James nodded before rasping out “Where’s Alex?” in an alarmed tone. Peter put a hand on his shoulder “If you want I could call him down here. But he is in a meeting” James nodded his head signing that he understood. A few minutes later though he was wrapped in a warm hug. He heard Peter chuckle when he looked around as if saying where the h**k did he come from. “I called him down. You were looking so sad” After that was said he heard the door the office at the end of the medbay close and a smooth voice say something in his ear. Alex was still hugging him even as the leader of the army in this base walked up to his bed. Alex didn’t want to let go but knew he had to. Eventually he let go and sat down close to James, holding his hand.

~ A few years later ~

James was happily leading his boyfriend, of a few years, to a special place where they could watch the sunset and clear night sky. “Wow James, this is wonderful” “I know right” ALex turned to him and kissed his forehead. James felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his waist. He turned around and saw the setting sun in Alex’s glasses but that was just as a background picture. He was staring into the ocean blue eyes of his boyfriend. They both smiled at each other before Alex sat down pulling James down with him. They cuddle until the stars appeared in the dark sky above them. Alex buried his face into James’ neck. James shifted a little and noticed they were being watched by another Autobot. “Alex, don’t look but we’re being watched by an Autobot.” He said as his head was turned to rub his cheek into Alex’s hair. Alex bummed into his neck making James laugh softly. Alex smiled against the skin of his neck and hummed again. James laughed and squirmed away from his boyfriend. Alex looked at him and made a move to catch him but he moved away, laughing hard. Alex chuckled lowly and slowly stood up. Noticing that the Autobot moved back slightly. He grinned when James looked towards the sound and Alex choose that moment to catch him and let them both crash to the ground.James tried to squirm away from him but he wouldn't budge. "Not getting away from me this time sweetie" James smiled innocently up at him and Alex leaned down stealing a passionate kiss from him. James kissed back with just as much passion. Without them noticing Peter stepped forward and cleared his throat. The two broke apart to look up at the medic. James smiled sheepishly and Alex just looked at the CMO. Ratchet looked back at him and went to get James off of the ground when Alex growled lowly in his throat. “Oh shut it. I just need to run some scans on him in the med bay.” Alex stopped but didn’t take his eyes of the medic as they all walked back to the base. Once they were back James was sat down on a bed in the med bay. Peter took some scanners from the back of the bay and went back over to take some scan on James. Alex hugged James as if it was the last day they would see each other. When they walked out of the medical bay Alex stirred them towards their quarters. James noticed but said nothing. Once they were in their quarters James was pulled down into an embrace while Alex landed on his back on the bed. James giggled like he was drunk and snuggled into the embrace. They both sighed deeply and cuddled closer to the other. “I love Alex” James said as he took of Alex’s glasses. Alex blinked a few times adjusting his eyes so he could focus on his boyfriend. He smiled at the other man before kissing his nose. James smiled back at him before rolling on top of him and hiding his face on his neck, pressing a soft kiss there. "*yawn* Good nigh' Alex" Alex hummed back, almost fully asleep. James chuckled and fell asleep on top of him.
