Chapter 6

**FOUR DAYS LATER**

I woke up to my mom shaking me

“Rockelle wake up, I have something to tell you”

I groaned and sat up, wiping at my eyes lazily

“What is it mom?”

“My company has an event tonight and we're all going. It starts at 7 and you can bring a date or a friend. You'll need to buy a dress today if you don't already have one” I sighed and nodded showing her I understood. Just as she was walking out the door Liam texted

L: What are you doing today?

Me: Moms company has an event so I have to go shop for a formal outfit. Boring I know

L: Actually it sounds better than what I had planned, which was nothing. Mind if I tag along?

Me: No, I need to get ready though I'll text you when I'm done. Your car or mine?

L: Mine if you don't mind, do you want to grab breakfast while we're out?

Me:Sounds good, I'll see you in a bit

L: Ok

With that I proceeded to take a shower. When I got out I stood in front of my closet looking for an outfit. Finally I picked my empire waisted blue tank top, white shorts, and my sandals with white lace on them. I got my anchor necklace as well as my ship steering wheel necklace and slipped those on. I picked six of my bangles and slipped those on, then I put in my silver hoop earrings. After that I pulled my hair into a half pony tail and left my bangs out. Then I plugged in my straightening iron and let that start heating up. For make up I just did a light foundation, white eyeshadow, I slid some eyeliner on, I put mascara on, then picked a cute shade of lipgloss. After that was all done I straightened my hair. Satisfied with how I looked I texted Liam that I was ready, put my curling iron away, spritzed my Moonlight Path perfume, grabbed my phone, purse, and keys, and headed out the door. I locked my front door and saw Liam leaning against his car, looking quite nice may I add. He was in simple blue jeans, a gray t-shirt, and a red and black flannel with the sleeves rolled up. I walked over to him and he pulled me in for a hug and a peck on the cheek.

“You look lovely Rocky” I blushed a bit.

“Thank you” Liam opened the car door for me, shutting it behind me, before getting in himself and taking off.

“So tell me about this event”

“I don't really know, she just told me her company had an event that started at 7, I have to go, and that I could bring someone. Speaking of which, what are you doing around 7 tonight?”

Liam chuckled,

“Are you asking me out Rockelle?” He teased. I laughed a bit

"I guess I am”

“Well then, I guess I'm going to an event with you”

“Fantastic” I cheered as Liam pulled into the parking lot of the mall. Liam, again opened my door for me. We walked into the mall and Liam lead me to a formal dress shop. I looked around a bit before picking out four to try on. One was an empire waist Greek style with straps that cross at the back, it was floor length and white. One was plain white with a silk sash, it was poofed at the waist, lace made up the top half. One was a strapless two color, black sequins covered the top, below the empire waist it was white and flowy. The last was a short log sleeve black and red lace dress. The left side and sleeve were black, the black material wrapped around to the waist on the other side. The right sleeve and a small bit at the bottom were red lace. I went into the dressing room and tried on the first one. I walked out and twirled slowly showing Liam. He pursed his lips.
