Ian's POV:

I groaned lightly, stretched out my body, and opened my eyes to reveal a bright hospital room. I looked out the window to see it was light outside, but the sun wasn't up yet and it was still quite foggy. The TV was on playing the Charlie Brown Christmas Special as the sound of my own heart beat filled the room from the nearby monitor. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the small room. Anthony was nowhere to be seen. I looked back down to my stomach and was a little shocked to be able to see my feet again. Memories came flooding back to me, flooding my mind with happiness, excitement, and worry. I had A LOT of questions running through my mind. Was she okay? Did she need oxygen or anything like that? How much did she weigh? Did Anthony get to see her? When can I see her? Does our parents know? My thoughts were interrupted when the door opened revealing a tired Anthony holding a water bottle loosely in his hand while yawning and tugging at the annoying plastic identification bracelet that he had to wear along with me so the nurses didn't mix match babies. He looked over at me and smiled when he saw that I was awake.

"Hey, you're finally awake!" He walked over to me and planted a kiss on my lips.

"How long was I out?"

"Just for about seven hours. It's like 7:30 in the morning. Oh, and Merry Christmas." I smiled up at him.

"Merry Christmas. Did you get to see the baby?" Anthony nodded.

"Ian, she is absolutely gorgeous! She is perfect! There is not one flaw on her! She weighed six pounds and three ounces, measured 19 and a half inches long, and was born as soon as the clock hit midnight on Christmas Day."

"S-Seriously? Right on it?" Anthony nodded.

"Amazing, isn't it?" I smiled and nodded feeling a little tear well up in my eye.

"Is she okay? Were there any complications?"

"They're done with almost all of the tests and, so far, everything is going okay, but she still has to be observed, but we're allowed to see her, hold her, and stuff like that. I haven't gotten to hold her yet, though. I was offered, but I told them that I was waiting for you to wake up so we could share the experience together."

"C-Can we hold her now? I really want to see her!" Anthony nodded.

"Of course. I'll let the nurse know." Anthony ruffled my hair and kissed my forehead before walking out of the door and returning in under a minute. "She's bringing her in. Wait until you see her, Ian! She is breath taking!" I felt my heart skip a beat with excitement as the nurse walked in pushing a little cart into the room Anthony walked over to her and looked down into the cart.

"Can I pick her up?" He asked. the nurse nodded.

"Of course you can. She's your baby, Mr. Padilla." Anthony knelled down to the cart and whispered some baby talk to her before the nurse spoke up again. "If you need anything else, just give me a call." Anthony nodded and thanked her before she closed the door behind her leaving Anthony and I alone with our precious newborn that I have yet to see. Anthony looked back down at the cart and lifted up a small little bundle wrapped in a white blanket into his arms. I heard her babbling at him as he lifted her up.

"Hello my little angel. You ready to meet Momma?" He cooed at her before slowly turning around and walking over to me not being able to take his eyes off of our child as he showed her to me for the first time. My whole world just stopped. Everything felt as if it were in slow motion as I looked at beautiful baby girl for the first time. She was everything that Anthony said she was and more. Without a doubt the best thing I have ever experienced. Tears began dripping down my cheeks as I watched her move around and make baby noises in Anthony's arms. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. After 31 weeks of chaos, backaches, and eating everything out of the house, my daughter that grew inside of me for almost eight months, was finally here and right on time for Christmas. I've honestly never been happier... Except for on my wedding day. "You want to hold her, Momma?" Anthony asked in a low voice.
