It was 7.30 pm and Ayaan reached the park but this time he came from behind the park so that he could surprise Riya who was already waiting for him there but he was the one in for a surprise!
*Didn't understand what happened? Obviously not cause where we left off in chapter 3 and where we started in chapter 4 are completely different.
Who is Nilima? Who is Ayaan? And who is Riya?
Why has Ayaan gone to the park at 7.30 pm?
Lot of questions and it will all be answered in due time for now let's start with who is Ayaan, Riya and Nilima?
All three of them go to the same tuitions and they know each other, Ayaan is the central character of the story and is refered to as 'he' in the previous chapters.
Riya is Ayaan's love interest and is refered to as 'she' in the previous chapters
Who is Nilima? To answer this question let's go back to the end of the previous chapter*
Ayaan started to walk back home thinking if he lost his friendship with Riya when he heard a voice, it was the exact same words and voice he heard at the end of the tuition on the day he dropped Riya back home.
"Hey wait!", Nilima said and on hearing this Ayaan quickly turned back and looked at Nilima and said, "It's your voice not hers?". Nilima didn't understand and to clarify she asked, "Not whose voice? I didn't understand what your question, be more clear!".
Ayaan looked at her for sometime and said, "That day at the end of the tuition when Riya asked me to drop her home she said the exact same words, 'Hey wait!' to get my attention but now that you said the same thing to get my attention I just realised it's your voice and not hers."
"Ohhhhh yeah I remember, yes it was me who called you to get your attention, I called you through the window but I couldn't peep out so you only heard my voice.", Nilima said.
"Why is it that you called me and Riya showed up instead of you?", Ayaan asked. "She was shy to ask you to drop her home and so I told her I'd make you wait and that she'd have to take care of the rest. Did she not ask you to drop her home that day?", Nilima replied.
"Yes she did ask me to drop her.....", Ayaan replied. "And so did you drop her?", Nilima asked to which Ayaan replied, "Ahh yes yes I droped her home that night."
"So what happened to Riya?",asked Nilima. "What do you mean what happened to her?", asked Ayaan in a worried tone. "I went to meet her and her sister opened the door and told me that Riya refused to come out of her room and told me she'd call me tomorrow.", replied Nilima.
"Oh ok, I don't know what happened to her but I will talk to her about whatever is bothering her.", told Ayaan. "Are you in a hurry to go home?", asked Nilima. Ayaan remember how Riya had asked him the same thing that day after tuitions and how they ended up having a good time together, Ayaan thought for a while and decided taking Nilima to the park was a good way of finding out whether Nilima is the one for him and he replied, "Not in a hurry, let's go to the park and catch up!".
Nilima agreed and they both walked to the park and there was no exchange of words between them. On reaching the park Nilima quickly went up to the swing and sat on one of the swings and told Ayaan to sit on the adjacent one. This reminded him of Riya and how she had also quickly taken a swing and made Ayaan sit on the adjacent one that day after tuitions. With the feeling of déjà Vu Ayaan sat on the swing adjacent to Nilima's.
"There's something I wanted to tell you.", Nilima said. Ayaan with a even stronger feeling of déjà Vu replied, "Go ahead, tell me what it is."
Nilima said, "Ayaan we have known each other for a long time now and though our talks are not that long and we don't talk that often I still feel we are very close and I need to tell you something about me."
At this point all Ayaan could think of was how Riya had told him all these and what it lead to that day and he quickly replied, "Nilima actually I am getting very late and I need to head home but I assure you we will talk about this tomorrow." Nilima replied, "Ok but you better meet me tomorrow!"
Ayaan said, "Surely I will, bye!" and he left the park. On his way home he realised that he loves Riya and that's whom he wants to be with and that's what he's gonna do.
The next day he texted Riya saying, "Tomorrow 7.30, in our special place!" to which Riya replied, "Yes, we need to talk about how I behaved yesterday."
It was 7.30 pm and Ayaan reached the park but decided to surprise Riya by entering from behind the park. On entering the park he was shocked to see that both the swings were occupied, one by Riya and the other by Nilima.
Seeing them together he remembered that Riya had told Nilima yesterday that she(Riya) would talk to her(Nilima) later. Knowing how close Riya and Nilima were Ayaan started to think...
Did Riya tell everything to Nilima? What about Nilima, she too wanted to tell me something yesterday! What if Nilima told Riya what she was gonna tell me yesterday? What do I do now?...
