It was around 7 P.M. He had just finished his work and left the tuition. Outside the door after wearing his footwear he was just about to leave that he heard a voice. It belonged to a girl in the tuition. He turned around and looked at her face. She looked worried, He was too curious to know so he asked her "Is there something bothering you?"
She looked up at him. He could see the sadness in her eyes. "I finished my work and I have to go home now." ,she said. On hearing this he asked her "Do you not want to go home?" She replied saying "No, It's not that. I am afraid to walk back home alone in this darkness."
Not knowing what to say he asked "Is there someway I can help you?", "You could walk me home." ,she replied. "Ok, how far is it?" ,he asked. "Not that far." ,she replied. Nodding his head he said "Ok let's go." and walked outside the gate. She walked silently behind him like a shadow but as they took the turn which lead to the main road she sped up.
Now it was her leading the way. It went on like this for a few minutes after which she suddenly slowed down and started to walk next to him. She asked "Are you in a hurry to go home?". "No hurry" ,he said. "Ok then you wouldn't mind spending some time with me in the park nearby?" she asked. "Ok so let's go to the park then" he said.
They walked all the way to the park without speaking a word to each other. On reaching to the park she went towards the swing and sat on one of it and he sat on the other one adjacent to the one she sat on. She said "I have to tell you something that I have held within for some while now." "Ok go ahead." ,he replied.
There was a short moment of silence before she began "We have known each other for a while now though we don't talk that often i still feel we have this special bond and I would like discover it more." After saying this she stopped and there was silence again.
A few moments later she stopped her swing and asked him to stop his swing too. She stood up and asked him also to stand. He stood up and looked at her. She slowly walked towards him and stopped, leaving only a few inches of gap between the both of them.
She got her face closer to his and whispered "It's also that I think I have fallen in love with you." and then she began to walk towards the gate of the park. He followed her. Exiting the park she began to walk towards her house. He continued to follow her.
In a moments time we near her house and he was still thinking of a reply to what she had told him earlier. When they got near the doorstep she looked at him and burst into laughter and he didn't know what was so funny that made her laugh like mad. He asked her "What is so funny that made you laugh this way?" Controlling her laughter she said "It was a prank and you took it so seriously. You are so easy to prank."
She began to laugh again and on hearing what she said and he too began to laugh.
Have to admit, it was a good prank!
