Josh’s POV

“What did you say to him?!” I asked my dad as soon as I saw him in the living room.

“What do you mean?” my dad asked, pretending to be confused.

“Justen’s dad, what did you say to him?!” I asked.

“I simply told him that you and Justen should break up,” my dad said.

“That is the biggest lie ever,” I said. “I know there was more.”

“How would you know? You weren’t even there,” my dad said.

"There's always more with you," I said.

"Fine, you really want to know what I told him?" my dad said.

"Yes," I said.

"I told him that he couldn't trust you with Justen," my dad said.

"Then what?" I asked.

"I simply put the thought in his mind that you'd cheat on Justen," my dad said.

"Cheat on him?! I would never cheat on Justen," I said.

"Justen's dad doesn't know that," my dad said, a smirk appearing on his face.

"You are a fucking psychopath!" I yelled.

My dad continued to smirk before he walked into his room.

What a psychopath. Wait, does Justen's dad actually believe this? Wait, the bigger question, is my dad leaving something out? I searched my pockets for my phone and realized I didn't have it on me. That's when I ran outside and searched my truck for my phone. Still not finding it, I drove to my and Justen's special spot and looked for it. Not finding it there, I realized that my dad had it.

"Shit!" I whispered. "Shit, shit, shit!"

I drove back home and walked into my mom and dad's room. As soon as I was inside, I looked for hiding places for my phone. Not finding it, I walked into the living room.

"Looking for your phone?" my dad asked.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"That's classified information," my dad said.

"Tell me where the hell it is," I demanded.

"You are in no authority to tell me what to do, do you understand me mister?!" my dad said.

"Fuck you, I'm going to my room," I said, walking to my room.

"Josh," Michael said, stopping me before I got to my room.

"Yes, Michael?" I asked.

"Are you okay?" Michael asked.

"A little," I said.

"Why?" Michael asked. "Justen didn't do anything bad did he?"

"No, Justen didn't do anything bad," I said.

"Good because I like Justen," Michael said.

"Me too," I said.

"So if you're not mad at Justen, what are you mad about?" Michael asked.

Knowing I couldn't tell Michael what was wrong, I came up with a quick answer. "I just remembered that I have homework due tomorrow and I didn't do it this weekend," I said.

“Oh, okay,” Michael said. “Well, good luck with that.”

“Thanks, bud,” I said before walking into my room and shutting the door.

Once the door was closed, I leaned my back against it and slid down it until I reached the floor. I sighed and put my head into my hands wondering what in the world I was going to do.
