6| The Competitions

Nothing was as intense as watching all my fellow first years run out of the arena. Even though I wish I could be among them, I knew it wouldn't happen this year. They have all trained long and hard for this according to Mr.Aizawa when I asked.

At the moment my brother was in the lead, freezing multiple of the big 0 pointers in dangerous positions in an attempt to keep his peers at bay. I knew this wouldn't last long, the robots began to tumble and Bakugo flew right on over them using his explosion quirk. He began to shout something however knowing him, that was pretty normal; I sigh. Sometimes I wish I hadn't gone to help Mr.Aizawa in the USJ, maybe then I wouldn't have gotten kidnapped... but it was my own choice to protect him.

Shoto continues holding first place and reaches an obstacle called "The Drop" basically all it was, was a deep canyon with pillars of stone people could use to get creatively across as well as some wires people could use to their advantage. Sitting on the sidelines is no fun considering I could be down there, enjoying myself with my peers while also competing against the rest of my class as rivals. I was the only hero course first year sitting on the sidelines and it made me feel weak and inferior; however if I did participate in the first round, I wouldn't be able to do the rest due to my injuries. Aizawa refused to let me participate anyways.

Bakugo has finally caught up to Shoto and I can tell he's agitated by whatever Bakugo says because he starts picking up the pace as to lose him over time. They approach the finally opstacle which turns out to be a minefield.  The mines are harmless and just for show however they do still explode. I watch as Izuku and Izumi run up behind the crowd and dig some mines up and make a hole, enough to make them fly. Izuku takes the piece of metal he held onto from the zero pointers and hugs Izumi before launching himself into the air. Soaring through the air he passes through the minefield closing in on Shoto and Bakugo.

With great timing and aim Izuku uses my brother and Bakugo as footboards and jumps off of them putting him in the lead. He sprints forward until he enters the arena, "And first place is Izuku Midoriya from class 1-A!!" Shouts Present Mic. I laugh, not surprised by Izukus win, he's been working hard and now that hard work is paying off. I clap softly, I had been taken to Recovery Girl when I returned and she did some healing however was only able to heal one arm leaving my other arm and leg still broken. Despite my want and desire to participate it would have been difficult with broken limbs.

The others come charging in, Shoto after Izuku and Bakugo after him. I could tell Bakugo was pissed just by looking at him. The stadium filled quickly. It was announced by the voice hero that the first 42 to enter would go on to the next round. That put a lot of stress on the first years considering there was over a hundred of them, but that was to be expected. They'll narrow it down even further than that afterwards so might as well get rid of the majority. I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding when I saw the familiar mob of blonde hair with a black lightning streak. He came in before the rest meaning he'll move on. I guessed he must've sensed me staring because he turned up to me and waved with a big smile on his face. I smiled back and my heart fluttered a little when he gave me a toothy-grinned thumbs up.

-After a 15 Minute Break -

The 18+ Hero Midnight stood on the stage grinning.

"It's time to see what the next event will be!"

Cavalry Battle

"The first 42 students that entered the stadium moved onto the next round! You will create teams with a maximum of 4 people. Each team must consist  of one rider and one (or more) horses. Each student will receive a point value further adding to the team value based on what you ranked in the preliminaries. 42nd place is worth 5 points, and the total gradually increases from then steadily by 5. Team point values are displayed with white headbands which MUST be situated on your head at all times. The more headbands you collect the more difficult it gets. You are not allowed to make anyone fall on purpose. If a team loses their headband or falls down, they are allowed to continue participating until the 30 minute mark is up. The goal is to get the most points as possible. Izuku Midoriya you came in first place, therefore your point value is.....

10 Million! 

You will be given 15 minutes to make your teams. Go!" Midnight finishes.

I stare at Izuku, he's gone paler then pale and I can tell he's panicking. Who would want to team up with the main target? Even I knew that. Considering their closeness I thought my brother would team up with Izuku but clearly I was wrong. He's got another plan. I look around and I notice my father in the booths staring down at him. It was then that I realized exactly what happened. Father "talked" with him. I hope he can contain himself enough to complete this competition on his own terms...

Team 1: Izuku, Ochaco, Tokoyami and some pink haired girl named Hatsume from support. -> 10,000,325
Team 2: Tetsutetsu, Juzo, Yosetsu, and Ibara. -> 705
Team 3:Bakugo, Mina, Kirishima and Sero. -> 665
Team 4: Shoto, Yaomomo, Iida and Denki? -> 615

I look at that team and tilt my head slightly before observing some more.

Team 5: Mineta, Shoji and Tsu. -> 420

I furrow my eyebrows, I don't understand anyone who would team up with that stupid pervy grape.

Team 6: Toru, Kyoka, Sato and Koda. -> 390
Team 7: Monoma, Tsuburaba, Kaibara, Kuroiro. -> 305
Team 8: Shinso, Shoda, Aoyama and Ojiro. -> 295
Team 9: Kendo, Yanagi, Takage, Komori. -> 225
Team 10: Kodai, Bondo, Fukidashi. -> 165
Team 11: Rin and Shinshida. ->125
Team 12: Pony and Kamakiri. ->70

Omg I apologize for disappearing for so longggg.

I didn't mean to I just went down a serious spiral but I'm back now and I'm gonna try to update this book more often! I'm sorry for the short and shitty chapter by the way. I hope to make the next one longer and more interesting.
