Emily is a regular 16 year old teenager. She's not famous on social media but she's kind of popular in her school. Anyways it all changes when the new neighbours move in.
•saturday morning, november 20th• I wake up to birds singing and my little sister Emma running around the house, looking for her diary. Do kids still enjoy writing diaries these days? I thought to myself. I get out of bed and run downstairs. I see a note on the kitchen counter. "Me and your father had to go to a really important meeting. Make sure your sister eats breakfast. Brandon is at a friends house. We'll be back late. You can invite Alyssa to stay over if you want to. Love, Mom"
I read the note out loud. My parents are really busy since they are both lawyers. Emma: Can i have cereal for breakfast please? Me: You know mom's gonna kill me if she finds out right? Emma: I'm not gonna tell her. Me: Fine i don't care. I'll be in my room.
I walked upstairs and sat on my bed. I went on my phone to text Alyssa.
-the conversation- Emily Hey, my mom and my dad aren't home and they're gonna be back late. Wanna stay over? Alyssa Sure. I'll be there at 2 Emily Sounds good. -end of conversation-
I check the time, it's 11 am. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I walked out of the bathroom with my towel wrapped around me and looked outside the window. There was a big truck, like a moving truck and then i realised the neighbours sold their house. I was quite happy to be honest, I didn't really like them so i was excited to have new neighbours. I saw a car approach the drive way. Must be the new neighbours. I thought. A girl and her mom got out of the car. As i was about to turn away i saw a guy about my age get out of the car too. I didn't even notice i was staring at him. He looked up and saw me standing there. He just smirked. I realised i'm still in my towel and turned away as quick as I could. I was blushing. I got to my closet and picked out an outfit:

I put on some concealer, blush and mascara. I sat on my bed and went on my phone. I was just scrolling through Tik Tok (Emily has a Tik Tok account but she doesn't post anything) when Emma stormed into my room. Emma: Emily the neighbours are here! Me: So? Emma: I wanna go say hi. Me: Can't you go by yourself? Emma: No, come on Em!! (Em is short for Emily) I got up and unwillingly walked over to their house. I never realised how huge it was. ??: Hi girls, you must be our neighbours. I'm Joanne. the lady said in a nice tone. Me: Hi! I'm Emily and this is my sister Emma. We wanted to come say hi. Joanne: That's really nice of you but we have to go unpack now. Me: Yeah of course, bye. Emma: Byee! Joanne: Bye girls!
Me and Emma went back to our house. I checked the time and it was already 1:30 pm. That means Alyssa is going to be here soon. After 30 minutes pass i hear a knock on the door. I run downstairs and open the door. I see Alyssa standing there.
Alyssa: Hi! she says while hugging me. Me: Hey!! I missed you. Alyssa: We literally met yesterday at school. Me: I know but still. Alyssa: So you have new neighbours i see. Me: How did you know? Ayssa: I saw a really cute guy outside. Me: Oh, well let's go upstairs.
We went upstairs and just talked about random stuff. We decided to go get chick fil-a. We walked outside and got in Alyssa's car since i didn't feel like driving. We got to chick fil-a and ordered our food. Once we sat down i saw my neighbour walk in with some other guys. I immediately looked away. We got our food and started walking out (we got take away) but suddenly i felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and i saw...
