Delilah's POV

This year went by quite quickly. We had to chose what we wanted to study for the next 2 years. I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future. So I picked subjects I thought I would enjoy which were history and business. Me and Anne  have gotten a little closer than we were before year 9, we now share the same group of friends and talk more at school. But it seemed like Hannah had different ideas of me and Anne becoming good friends again. She would tell me that Anne didn’t like me and list things she had said about me, and also told me that Anne was behind me and other people falling out. This happened quite a few times throughout the year.

The weird thing is that me and Anne would still walk to school together but we wouldn’t talk to each other, so we have had some really awkward 10 minutes walks to school.  We would eventually get over it and start talking again, we never discussed what had happen we just got on with it. Towards the end of the yeah me and Anne had a huge arguement and stopped talking, but I never did anything wrong, so I decided I would walk to school with and I thought through what I was going to say. I walked up to her front door, knocked and waited. Her mom answered the door we said our greetings and she called Anne to leave, so we could leave for school. She walked out the door and we started our journey to school. This was the part where I was meant to bring up the argument and sort it out but I didn’t know how to bring it up. So I waited a couple of minutes thinking of ways to bring the situation up. Just as we were going to cross the road I spoke up:

‘’Anne I don’t really know how this all started but I want to finish it. This is all really pathetic, I was being told you were saying things about me and causing arguments between me and other people and generally shit stirring. Now I look back on things I’ve realised that, that’s not the Anne I used to know, and now don’t really believe what has been said.’’

Anne looked shocked and replied ‘’ I never said anything about you, the only time I did was when I was told that you were saying things about me behind my back. So then I obviously said some things then but only because I was mad’’

‘’Oooh well you was telling you these things?’’

‘’Hannah did who told you I was saying things abou-’’ I was cut of my Delilah

‘’Hannah!!’’

‘’So basically she was just playing us two off?!?’’

’’ yeah it seems so!’’

‘’ I can’t believe her, Hannah wasn’t like this when I  first met her!’’

‘’Well people change’’

‘’ Yeah I suppose so’’

‘’Friends again?’’

‘’Yeah of course’’

‘’Good! What are we going to do about Hannah?’’

‘’I don’t know’’

‘’Well she is your friend Anne you should deal with her. haha’’

‘’Yeah but.. she is in nearly all my lessons and I don’t speak to many other people and I sit next her, so If I stop talking to her then it’s going awkward, and I’m not going to have people to speak to in class and even if i do they sit on opposite sides of class to me!’’

‘’Oh well maybe we should just pretend we didn’t know she was behind all of this, and distance ourselves slightly from her? To let her know she didn’t come between us, we should just go on like normal but be a little more chatting to each other and act like nothing happened’’
