Phonetics and pronunciations :)

Hello, everybody! For our first lesson, Lucky is going to teach you all about phonetics and pronunciation :D

There are five tones in the Chinese language-

The first tone is "阴 yīn", and the symbol is a straight horizontal line. You pronounce words with that tone in a "straight" voice, like a straight line :3

The second tone is "阳 yáng", and the symbol is a line rising up. You pronounce it as if you are rising up XD (I'll put a video below to let y'all further understand the tones)

The third tone is "上 shǎng", and the symbol is like a 'V'. You pronounce it like you're going downhill then up again.

The forth tone is "去 qù", and the symbol is a line going downhill. You pronounce it like you're going down.

The fifth tone is a short tone. There's no symbol for it.
