                                                                                Robin's POV

Robin sits there a moment, pondering what he did wrong. The woman looked totally into him a moment ago. "Ugh, I always ask too many questions." He mutters to himself. There is definitely something odd about that girl and there has to be a reason why she had gotten so spooked. Robin feels that every word she said to him was a lie. He'd watched her before she'd gotten into the coffee shop, she was always glancing back behind her as if she was running from something.
Robin couldn't help but be intrigued by her. It didn't help that she was drop dead gorgeous. Her hair is a silky jet black bob that framed her face. Her round face and warm hazel eyes gives her a welcoming innocent appearence. He knew that is an act, because every single word she'd said to him was a lie.

Robin can always feel these things, and his lie detecting senses were tingling at every action and word that came out of her. He's suspicous and he is pretty sure that Daisy isn't her name. He made a decision to follow her and see what trouble she is up to. He walks out of the shop just a little bit after her and jumps into his black van to follows her. Robin leaves enough distance behind him and her that she will not notice being followed.

As the sherrif of the town he makes it is his job to ensure the safety of all the people of this town. Robin isn't sure why he thinks she is a threat to thier safety but he has a bad feeling about her. Especially since she can lie outright to a random stranger about everything. Robin is sure that she isn't just lying for fun, and he is determined to find the reason. He hates liars.

The sky is a dark overcast today and he can tell already that this is the sort of day that nobody would want to be out. He can feel themoisture in the air and is sure that it will rain pretty soon. His car is set at a slow crawl and the engine purrs almost silently. He watches her. She is walking a few blocks in front of him. 'Daisy' is almost sprinting down the sidewalk, and her hair visibly bobs up and down at each step.

Robin watches her, waiting for her to make a wrong move. It is silly. He has no reason to have so much hate for her, but everything about her made him despise her. 'Daisy' seems like the kind of girl who'd cheat you out of everything you own and then waltz away never to be seen again. He clutches the steering wheel harder. His knuckles turning white from his grip. The sharp sound of rain hitting his windshield awakes him from his thoughts. The woman continues walking in the cold rain, and Robin begins to feel bad for her.

"What if she's lost?" He thinks to himself.

No matter how much he dislikes her for lying to him, he needs to do his duty of protecting the people of this town. She is a part of the town whether he likes it or not. He brings his car up to 'Daisy' and rolls down the window. She looks frightened for a second before she sees his face. He sees her visably relaxing.

"What could possibly make her look so frightened? Or perhaps who?" Robin thinks to himself. He is burning with curiosity. He shakes off the earlier anger he had for her. It doesn't matter that she is lying to him, she looks like she needs protecting. He better get her out of this rain. He feels a pain in his stomach but ignores it, as he's determined to aid her.

"Hey, get in. I'll drive you to your apartment." He tells her. He gives her a warm welcoming smile as he analyzes her reaction.

She looks at him doubtfully for a moment before shrugging. "I'll be fine. Its only a few more blocks." She speeds up.

"Don't worry. I insist. As sherrif it is my duty to protect the citizens of this town." Robin calls out after her. He hopes that the fact that he is a sherrif will ease her doubts about him. Robin is confused by this thought. Why does he care so much about what she thinks about him. She's the one who is constantly lying to him. He grits his teeth. "You will not get angry, now. Hear her out." He tells himself. The woman turns to face him and his car.

"I guess, it wouldn't hurt to get out of this rain." She sighs as she says this. She opens the door and gives it a good slam as she closes it. They don't speak for a few minutes. Robin notices her shivering and takes off his coat.

"Here, you look freezing." He offers his warm coat. She smiles gratefully up to him. For the first time it seems her smile is genuine. "At least there's some truth left in her." He thinks to himself.

"So where are you from?" He asks, trying to start conversation. She stiffens at the question. He notices the tension and frowns. She hasn't looked at him since jumping into the car. He realizes he doesn't know where she lives. Stupid! Robin hits his head with his hand.

"Sorry I forgot to ask where you live." He apologizes. The girl looks up at him. Her hazel eyes flash green for a moment as if they are sparkling emeralds. He shakes himself out of his daze and refrains from blushing. Robin realizes that they had been staring at each other for almost a minute. She blushes a deep red. It suits her he thinks to himself smirking.

"Oh...oh! Sorry! I live in the Weresons Apartments Duplex. Do you know where that is?" 'Daisy' answers. She smiles politely. Robin nods and starts driving toward the apartment duplex. It is a cheap kind of place, not the kind of place you'd buy if you wanted to live here long term. She must not being staying too long, probably going to leave in a couple of months.

Robin sighs. Everyone who comes here leaves within a couple of months only a select few stay here, and that's because they get tied down to their jobs. Like me, he thinks. Robin remembers how he'd always tell his parents that he'd go out and explore the world. They always chuckled and smiled at that, he remembers fondly that his mother would always kiss his forehead lovingly and tell him to reach for the stars. These memories are always bittersweet. He always had to be careful, lest he begins to remember his parents traumatic fate. He winces. He suppresses the memories down, but his eyes still feel heavy with unshed tears. He blinks away the feeling.

"Hello? Sir, umm Robin? Are you alright you look awfully pale. Here, have your jacket back. Are you sick?" 'Daisy' asks him worriedly. She lays her hand on his forehead. Where her hand touches it feels as if his skin is on fire. He shivers involuntarily. He looks down at her hazel eyes, they are wide with worry and they are searching his face. He quickly shifts his gaze to the road to avoid any accidents. They are almost at her apartment, in fact they are only a block away. His grief can wait until then.

"You look flushed! You are coming inside with me and that's an order." She fusses. All this fussing seems out of character, it doesn't seem to come naturally to her. He finds it cute how she's toting about him like a worried mother. He does feel quite ill however. He parks the car.

Robin opens the door to step out and his head begins to hurt painfully. It feels as if someone I stabbing his head over and over with a knife. Robin groans. 'Daisy' rushes to his side, and helps him up the apartment steps. She opens the door and leads them to her apartment. He leans on her while she fumbles for the keys.

Robin is not sure what caused his sick spell. He was feeling fine just an hour ago. Before the coffee, he muses. Perhaps he is lovesick. He jokes to himself, a small smile escapes his lips. Finally 'Daisy' opens the door and she leads him into the apartment. He manages to take a few steps to the couch before collapsing into its soft cushions of the army green couch that is situated in the middle of the living room. It's a nice place but sparsely furnished and a few cracks run along the walls like spider webs. Everything is still packed away but some things are out, which means she'd been to the apartment before.

Which prooves she'd lied to him again! His eyelids droop and his head buzzes from fatigue. Robin hadn't realized until now just how tired he actually is.  He groans as a wave a nausea hits him. What was in that coffee!

Yea, what was in that coffee. Is Robin on to something. He was right about Aussie (Daisy) so maybe he's right about the coffee. Isn't it weird how he picks up on lies...maybe he has a super power. Lol. Well thanks for reading this chapter. I'll keep writing.

*bows* Well bye! Love ya and stuff.
