Eric's POV

"That asshole had absolutely no right to bring up Bella's name and he knows it."

Shawn nods in agreement to Cam's statement about the incident that happened at the auditions at the nightclub. "I completely agree with you Cam. Even though we don't know the full story of what happened, we still have no right to assume or make assumptions about what happened. It's not only called respecting people's privacy. It's also called common decency. I guess it just comes to show that even rich entitled douchebags have no respect whatsoever."

I nod my head, not taking my eyes off of Lily who is sitting off to the side and staring out of the window. "Yeah. Even though you haven't told us anything about what happened with you and Bella, we respect your privacy because we are your family and we love you with all of our hearts. We would never do anything to fuck that up in any way." Even as the three of us nodded our heads in agreement, Lily still looked out of that window, almost as if she was deep in thought. I have a feeling that I know exactly what's on her mind.

I was about to speak up and say something to Lily when the sound of the gate clashed and the squad appeared from the bottom of the staircase, Hank and Jay leading the group with bruises on their fists.

Hank walks up to me with his eyes focused on Lily. "How is she doing?"

I tear my eyes away from Lily to look at Hank's concerned face. "To be honest, I don't know. I haven't seen her like this in a very long time."

Hank nods his head. "Yeah, I can imagine. By the way, what exactly happened when she was 16? Who kidnapped her and why did they kidnapped her?"

I shook my head. "The details are very scarce, but I do know that when Fin and Benson managed to find her a week after she went missing, she was a shell of what she once was before. Even after she gave the description of the kidnapper and they took his DNA from under her finger nails, they never found him. To this day, they never found out who it was. All I do know is that she wasn't the same when she got home. 9 years later, she still has nightmares every time she goes to sleep. I just know that the only way that she will ever get closure is if she finds the person that took away her childhood."

Lily's POV

As I sit in the break room staring out the window as cars pass the 21st District, my mind wanders back and forth. One moment I'm thinking about what that pompous asshole said about Bella. And then in another moment, I start to think about what that monster did to Bella and the fact that I couldn't do anything to stop him. It has been 9 years since Bella was killed and her killer is still free and rooming the streets. Before she died, I promised Bella that I would not rest until I found her killer and bring him to justice.

I do not intend to break that promise.

After awhile of staring outside the window of the break room, I hear a knock on the door. I look over at the door and I see Jay opening the door a little bit with a concerned look on his face. "Hey Lily. How you feeling? I know that it's a stupid question but I still wanted to ask."

I chuckle slightly and shake the tears off of my face. "It's okay to ask. Even though Mr. Douchebag McGee put a very big damper on what was supposed to be a really good day for the club, you still have a right to ask."

Jay nods his head. "Yeah I know. I just wanted to make sure." The two of us sit there in silence before he speaks up again. "I was in the army a few years ago. 3rd Battalion. 75th Ranger Regiment. When I was deployed, I had to make a couple close calls that I'm not that proud of. Some of which still haunt to this day. I know that it seems like it doesn't matter but just know that if you need someone to talk to, let me know."

He goes to leave the room but I speak up before he closes the door. "Is everyone still outside? My dad too?" When Jay nods his head yes, I stand up and adjust my clothing, fixing the wrinkles that were slowly starting to form. "I think that it's finally time to get this off of my chest. If I'm gonna stay in Chicago for now on, I need to be honest with everyone."

Jay nods his head and moves to the side, allowing me to exit the break room and start to tell my story.
