It is dark now. It has been dark for awhile, you think, but you are not sure, because you haven't strung together a thought in a long while. It is similar to waking up after a dream, after one you'd convinced yourself was real. And suddenly you're thrust back into the world with a bang, and you're expected to keep going and moving and your wheels must keep turning... but no, instead you've fallen into the tracks. You hear the train's whistle tooting as it comes closer, but you're not running away with the pack, oh no, you're lying there in wait for the heaving machine to run you down remorselessly.
No one will remember, right? You'll just be another body lost to time, as it chugs ever forward. The wheels lope closer; you feel the train's steam exhaling on your face.
It is bright, suddenly. A gleaming circle shines forth from the front of the train, like Heaven welcoming you into its grasp. But as you lower your gaze, you soon realize the light will miss you. You will be crushed beneath the train, and it won't even pause, it will just keep going without waiting for you to climb aboard, or even to step out of the way of death as it runs runs runs.
It won't let you go, no. You're petrified, and you can't move as the light skips over you and the darkness takes over.
