KEEGAN (2 weeks later)
I got called into the office. I was tired and just wanted a break. I feel empty half of the time and I told the principal to not tell anyone what is going on. That was a mistake.
The teachers are bitching and really only Mason was sticking up for me. Saying that it is ok. I know he is not like other people in this school but he dosen't seem to care that I haven't been doing anything. So I guess both of our grades are dying right now. But today is Monday.
I walked into the office and I see a little boy playing with a tablet and a girl that looked about 10 years old.
Ms.Rim-Dr.Kirk said you can go in.
I nodded my head and walked into his office. He was sitting with a woman. When the woman turn around, I saw that she is my mother. I was surprised, she still has her black hair, she still has the same Style. But for some reason, i didn't want to see her. She brings back old, good memories. Like the time my dad was happy and a good man.
Mom-Keegan?
She stands up and I didn't know what to do but next thing I knew, I was in her arms. She was starting to cry. I hugged back to try to move things to the back of my head. Doesn't work.
Dr.Kirk-I will leave you two be.
He stands up and when he closed the door behind him, I looked at my mom and she was smiling. I gave her my straight face. I don't know what I should do. SoUlf U be happy? Should I be upset? Should I be confused? My feelings are everywhere and I don't know where they are.
Keegan-What are you doing here?
Mom-I got a call from the school saying everything that is going on with your dad. Keegan, I know that it isn't my right to be here but I want to know if-
Keegan-Your right mother, it's not your right to be here. I think you should go
Mom-Keegan Please, can we just talk. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I am here for 3 days and I would love to go out for dinner or lunch, anything so I can explain what happened.
Keegan-You took Bri and then left me with that pyhco. I know what happened.
Mom-Please Keegan, it is more then that.
I walked out and got a pass, I gone to my science class. Likely, Mason was writing down notes. I gave my pass to the teacher and sat down.
Mason-Hey.
Keegan-Hi
Mason-You look stressed
Keegan-Yeah, just got out of a stressful situation.
Mason-Oh, well I am going to the Lounge after the meeting tonight. Wanna come?
Keegan-Places like that aren't my place to be.
Mason-Oh will maybe-
Teacher-Mason and Keegan can you please keep your conversation until after class?
Mason-Sorry sir
He kept working and I just couldn't do anything. All i could think about was my mom. Maybe I made a huge mistake, I love living at Luna's house. I am getting along with Alex and Carly, Mark and Luna are making sure I got everything. It's a family that I always wanted and I don't want to throw that away.
Teacher-Oh! Students, we will have a little work time but we are doing a project on Space! Now this is going to be a fun project! You and another person will be making a movie about what it is being in space.
I sighed and looked at Mason. He was staring off into space. Times like this is when I realize his beauty and handsomeness. The way his dark brown pompadour haircut looks and his jawline that goes straight to his square head is. His perfect blue sparking eyes and his read lips make me so happy just to look at him. But soon the teacher stopped talking and I looked at my notebook that I have been doodling in.
Mason-Are you going to the meeting?
Keegan-Yeah of course just maybe we can do something else so you don't have a chance of getting stopped my your friends
Mason-Keegan I am not embarrassed to be your friend, I just don't want you to get into my "friend" grope.
Keegan-I just don't understand you sometime. You are not like them but you still hungout with them.
Mason-I would rather hungout with you.
He said that under his breath and I but my lip trying not to smile. But my cheeks turn bright red.
Mason-Sorry if that was weird.
Keegan-No, no just. . . Nevermind let's get started.
Mason nodded his head and we started working on the project. Next week we have off because of Christmas and I have never been so excited because now I don't have to go to the shelter for food because nothing was open. I can stay with Luna. She invited me and there is no way that I am staying with my dad.
But when tha bell rang, I packed up my things and Mason waited for me. We walked down to the room together and Mason was talking to me and Mason waved to some people and I could see people were confused why we were walking together but me and him just ignored them.
It was like we were the only 2 people in the world and it felt amzing. Me and Mason were the only 2 people in the room.
Keegan-You didn't have to wait for me.
Mason-I wanted to.
Me and him smiled at eachother and Mason got on the desk and started to play some music. We like the same type of music, kinda like the romantic type.
Mason-Slide a desk over.
Keegan-Why?
Mason-So We can sit together
I didn't protest, I slide a desk over and we talked about anything. He makes everything better and easier.
Mason-I wonder were Vora and Cassie is?
Keegan-Not sure.
Mason-Want to start that project? It seems fun.
Keegan-Sure. I hope you wrote down notes.
Mason-Of course
He slide more over to my desk and sets the notebook in between us on our laps. He laid his elbow on my thigh and I was blushing hard.
Mason-So I think we should start with. . .
His voice trail off as I kept my eyes on his lips. But soon I heard nothing and seen his lips stop moving. I need to stop but I don't want to. Mason is so prefect how will he ever be my friend.
Keegan- Sorry I didn't mean for-to look at you like that.
Mason-Oh no it's fine, I was too so like. . . Haha
I kinda laughed and we stopped and smiled at eachother. His smile is everything to me.
