Laila's Pov
I stood in the kitchen sipping on a bottle of water. I decided to go check on Jay and his friend. I closed the water bottle and I walked down the hall.
"Yeah Bitch, I'm the goat" Jay screamed, I heard his friend groan in defeat. I walked in quietly making everyone turn their attention to me. "Hey Ma, I'm Anthony." Says a mellow and calming voice, I see that it's his friend, I stood there and stared at him.
This nigga was sexy, then his juicy ass lips added onto it. I smirked and I smile "I'm Laila, but you can call me La or Lay" I say softly.
I could sense Jay's jealously. He stood up quickly and pulled me away. I groan and Anthony sucked his teeth in annoyance. "She good, y'all good, aint no conversation need between you too." He says possessively I didn't know why he was acting this way, we didn't date, fuck, nor shit. So why the nigga acting like I'm his wife or something. Anthony sighed and glanced over Jay's shoulder looking at me. "Aight Ma, Aight Jay.. Imma head out and go get me some cutty." Anthony bends down grabbing his phone, him and Jay shakes hands. "Aight Kilo." Jay says bluntly and Anthony leaves the room. I sat on the couch engulfed in my thoughts. I was wondering why was Jay being like that? We haven't even had a decent conversation now he thinks he's my father. That shit ain't gone slide with me, and that's a fact.

I was finally starting my job at the club, all eyes were going to be on me tonight, I was told that the newbies were put on the spot, they gave a 3 minute dance on the main pole for everyone to see. I walked in wearing some grey sweats, a white tshirt, and my black Nike slides.
It smelled like ass and pussy, I knew I was gonna have problems here, it ain't that hard to wash your ass.
I walked into the dressing rooms. I saw a variety of girls, different skin colors, body types. Most of them were fully plastic which was disgusting when it was undressed. A nicely shaped darkskin walked over to me, she stuck her hand on signaling that she wanted to shake hands. I shook her hand lightly she smiled sweetly. "I'm Kandy, it's nice too meet you.. Laila right?" She asked politely. Kandy was already my favorite person here everyone else had their noses turned up as if they were better than me. We all stripping at no need to be boujie to each other. Everybody throwing ass for cash."Hurry up bitches! One of y'all should've hopped in the shower it smell like fis-" Some lady with a pink lace front stopped her sentence, she directed her attention toward me and she chuckled. "Man my brother hires anything, this bitch ugly" she laughs and walks out of the room, Kandy walks over to me and rolls her eyes "That's Isis, but we call her bubble gum, she wear that same ass wig." She says as she sprayed on some perfume. I buckled the clasp on my 6 inch glass heels, and I stand. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I was honestly ashamed. I had on a mesh bra and a black thong that resembled a string. I didn't even tell Jay I was going to work, I lied like I was going to a cousin's house, for some reason I felt that he wouldn't want me to come here. That nigga been acting so overprotective, and we not together. That's weird as hell.
"Everyone welcome Cocoa to the stage, it's her first night so be nice!" The Mc yelled out my name, Kandy blew a kiss wishing me luck I smiled and walked out on stage. Luckily my favorite song started playing.

Everyone cheered after I danced calling me to smile, maybe them pole dancing classes came in handy because bitch I was doing acrobatics. I looked around the crowd smiling at everyone.. my smile dropped when I spotted Jay and Anthony. Jay has a serious look on his face, and he mouthed."We'll talk at home"
