Chapter 1

Percy POV

"Great party huh?" Jason said. I nodded. It wasn't that great of a party but Jason begged me to come with. It's Friday night and the last one of our summer vacation. The next Monday I'm starting as a junior at Goode High.

"When are you going to make a move on Piper?" I asked. Jason blushed. He has a crush on Piper since sophomore year, at least that's what he told me.
Jason and I met each other this summer, because we are neighbor's. We were hanging a lot together and he told me a lot about his friends, his life and about Goode.

"Look, you're the captain of the football team. You're the best! Why would she say no?" "You're right Percy." "I am always right, you know th-."
And then I saw her.

Annabeth POV
"Piper, why am I here?" I said. It's Friday night and I am here with my best friend Piper at a party. "Because you have to stop being so sad. That's why." Piper grinned. I sighed. "Besides, it is not that bad. Drew nor Luke are here, so you will be fine." That's true. Luke, my ex-boyfriend, kissed another girl, Drew. That happened a couple of weeks ago and I'm still not over it. "Come on." Piper said and she dragged me inside.

There were a lot of people inside. Our friends, our class, pretty much whole junior year. Piper was looking around like she was trying to find someone. "Looking for Jason?" I asked. "No. Already found him!" Piper pointed to a crowd and I saw him. A tall, blonde guy with glasses was standing next to another tall guy. Piper waved and we walked up to them.

"Hi Jason! How ya doin'?" She asked. She and Jason focussed so much on each other that they ignored me and the other boy.

The boy has raved-black hair, sea-green eyes and is quite muscular. He is hot.

I realized I was staring and I blushed. "So, I don't think I have seen you before. Who are you?"
"I am Percy. I'm new here."
"I thought so. I am Annabeth, nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too Annabeth."
It was quite for a minute and we were just staring at each other. "So, where you're from?" I asked. "Everywhere I guess. This is probably the sixth time I moved away but this time I hope it's permanent. My mom is dating Paul Blofis, an English teacher at Goode." "Mr Blofis? He is really great!" "Yeah I guess. I don't know him very well, but he is better than my moms ex." When he said 'my moms ex', it sounded so sad and I wondered what happened.

"You want a drink?" Percy asked, to break the silent. "Sure, should I come with?" "Yes." He said with a little bit of excitement. I caught myself of smiling and was feeling guilty. Why Annabeth? I said to myself. You don't have to feel guilty. Luke is your past, stop caring what he wants or thinks of you!

Percy and I went to the kitchen and we got our drinks. After that we went to the garden and talked for a hours. I found out he does not know who his father is, he loves blue food for some unknown reason and that he is really sarcastic but in a funny way. We also talked about where we want to go to college and our future. It was amazing and time flew by. Before we knew it, it was midnight. "Hi, it's getting late. Should we go back to the house or-." Before I want to finish my sentence he kissed me.
