I am fourteen
I know too much,
But I don’t know enough.
I am all alone
With billions of people.
I am lost and confused,
But people tell me I am going the right way.
People tell me I am different from all of the others,
But no one seems to see me in a crowd.
I try different things
And people tell me I do great
But then others say
It isn’t good enough.
Someone spit the truth
Before I go insane
And become like
The billions of people.
I would sit here and wait
But then I would become
Just like the
Billions of People.
This poem was an assignment in my first year of high school. I relly enjoyed the poetry unit in English 1. It is in that annoying double-spaced format (sorry), but it keeps that "flow" going.
