𝐒𝐇𝐘 | 𝖠𝖼𝗍𝗎𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝖲𝗍𝖾𝗉𝗁𝖾𝗇 𝖷 𝖱𝖾𝖺𝖽𝖾𝗋

𝘆/𝗻'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃.
the second destination appears to be a retro arcade but it isn't just any typical arcade... as soon as we walk inside my eyes light up and frantically dart around the room taking in every single aspect no matter how large or small. old arcade games line some of the walls, a bar is located near the back and a roller skate disco can be discovered in the middle of the room whilst loud music booms through the speakers around us.  "I always dreamed of coming to one of these" I happily tell myself "I know... hosuh mentioned one time that you really wanted to come but he didn't want to bring you because he didn't like the idea of roller skating".

uncontrollably my heart pounds in my chest at a quickening rate... he brought me here because he knew how much I wanted to come, he also knew that I had no one to come with me and that I wouldn't come alone. that's so sweet of him. the two of us make our way over to where we can rent out some skates and exchange them for our shoes. rapidly I slide them onto my feet and tie them out of excitement, I really want to go and skate. once we're both ready we link arms and make our way into the ring.

effortlessly I skate around the ring and turn around to see stephen struggling to keep his balance. carefully I make my way over to him, trying not to startle the boy "here" I offer him my hand and he accepts "just follow me and try and copy my feet" he nods at my statement, tightening his grip every time he thinks that he is going to fall. I have no idea why jay told me to be careful around him, he seems like a kind, big goofball to me.

suddenly a force clashes into my back, sending me tumbling to the ground and a weight lands on top of me. I turn around and stephen is hovering above my body with a crimson face, clearly embarrassed "whoops... sorry I slipped". I try to contain myself but unfortunately laughter escapes from my mouth "you're an idiot" "am I really?" he leans in to say this and I can feel his hot breath on my face and neck before squeezing my eyes shut. a few seconds pass until his hands glide over my cheeks gently before pinching them, making my eyes open and lock with stephen's. he likes teasing me...

I push his face away and slide myself from under him, allowing me to stand back up. he copies what I do and skates over to me but before he can catch up I skate away quicker. I'm not mad at him... just a little bit flustered.

I'm exhausted so I tiredly make my way out of the centre, accurately dodging and weaving through the crowd I finally find my way to the bar. looking through the menu, I order myself the most exotic cocktail I can see. as it comes a hand slides it away from me and places it in front of them "you shouldn't be drinking miss" my gaze averts from the bar and up to the voice. it was stephen. swiftly I slide it back over to me and take a sip "what would you know" I mumble maybe a bit too bluntly because his eyebrows raise and he seems to be taken aback. "you aren't mad at me are you?" I ignore his statement "what's wrong?" he shuffles closer to me and places his hand on my shoulder "nothing I'm just tired" "well we can go and I can take you home?". I rest my head on my hand "I don't want to go home yet, it's barely 7pm" "how about my place?" he suggests making me yet again stare at him whilst I hum in contemplation "sounds good, just give me a few minutes though I have to go to the bathroom. you can finish this whilst I'm gone" smoothly I hand him what is left of my drink before exchanging my skates for my shoes and heading to the bathroom. 

rummaging through my bag I pull out some lipstick and slip it over my lips. I then drift my fingers through my hair, trying to neaten the flyaways. once I feel as though I look decent I emerge from the girls bathroom and back over to stephen who is sat twirling his keys around his finger. as soon as he notices me his face lights up and a generous smile is glued to his face "ready to go miss?" he asks me "as ready as I'll ever be sir"
