The new person came every day. The man called him "William", but most often he called him "Mr. Afton". In return, he called the man "Dr. Emily", and ocasionally, "Henry". She got a new name too: "EXN397", or as William called her, "Nightbear". William became very fond of Nightbear. One day when he came, however, she wasn't in her normal spot in the lab. He became vey worried, and looked all over for her. That's when he saw the note saying that Henry and EXN397 were headed to the Decommissioning Room in the basement.
William ran as fast as he could to the Decommissioning Room, rushing down two flights of stairs. He burst through the door, to catch Henry yelling at Nightbear. "You are WRONG!," He growled. "BROKEN! DEFECTIVE! CORRUPTED! And you must be DESTROYED!" His hand was shaking as he held the mechanical syringe firmly in it. He was about to insert the needle, and pull the trigger just as William cried out. "Don't do it, Dr. Emily!" he yelled, knocking the syringe out of his hand.
Henry looked shocked, then rage came over his face. "Mr. Afton, what are you doing!?! This decommission had been scheduled long before you met her!" He exclaimed. William went to Nightbear's side, and began to unbuckle the straps that were holding her to the seat. "Haven't you seen her personality? It's one of a kind, especially for a robot!" He said, helping the animatronic bear to her feet. Nightbear trembled, shaken from her traumatizing experience. William held her paw tightly, smoothing the fur down in an attempt to calm her down.
It was a long time before Henry spoke. "I'll make a deal with you." he said calmly. " If you want to keep her, go ahead, but you'll be demoted." William took a moment to consider, and set his jaw. "I'm keeping her." He replied. "Very well, Mr. Afton. You start work at Fredbear's tomorrow morning." Henry said, and walked out of the room.
