William went to work with Nightbear that morning. He kept her by his side at all times, and within his line of sight. Nightbear learned how to perform, cook, and even hand out balloons to children. Only a few children would go near her, as her black, gray, and yellow scheme was intimidating along with her glowing red eyes. They were more interested in the more friendly-and-colorful looking Fredbear and Spring Bonnie. One day, however, Nightbear got fed up with these characters hogging the spotlight. She climbed up on the stage, but fell, snapping her leg in half.
William came running out from backstage when he heard her cries. Nightbear was scared he would yell at her like Henry had back in the Decommissioning Room. The first thing William asked was: "What happened?" Nightbear told the truth, and he frowned as he thought about how he could fix her leg, and prevent this from happening ever again. Finally, he spoke.
"Nightbear, I'm not disappointed, nor am I going to yell at you. There is one thing though; I'm going to have to leave you at home." William said, scooping Nightbear up into his arms, and onto a wheeled cart. She wanted desperately to stay with him, but she knew she should obey his command. She wanted his attention more than anything else at this point, but she knew William had other things to do. She decided she wanted to stay at home, and obey him rather than doing the wrong thing for his love and attention.
