chapter 2

Felix woke up to a bright white ceiling, his eyes blinking to adjust to the lighting.
"The hospital?" He said to himself.
Why was he there?
And then memories flashed before him.
The car crash.
Chan.
"Oh Mr. Lee your awake!" A lady in a white uniform came in.
Felix looked up at the lady in confusion.
"Oh my apologies. My name is Nurse Cho. I'll be watching over you for the next day or two. Depending on how well you heal." The lady smiled.
"I'm just going to do a small check up if you don't mind."
Felix just sat there and let her do what she needed to do.
"Looks like your doing fine. Is your arm feeling okay?" Nurse Cho asked.
"Huh?" The boy asked.
"Your arm. Is it okay?" The nurse said softly.
He looked over and noticed a cast around his fore arm.
He didn't even realize.
"You only broke it slightly. It should be fully healed in a month or so. In terms of you staying here, you should be discharged by tomorrow. We notified your parents as well. They should be coming soon. I'll be back to check on you in about an hour." Nurse Cho started out the door.
"Wait." Felix called out.
"Yes, Mr. Lee?"
"Do you know if Bang Chan is okay?" Felix asked.
Nurse Cho's face softened as if she knew exactly who he was talking about.
"Mr. Bang.. he unfortunately suffered a bit more then you did, im afraid.." the lady replied.
Felix's heart began to beat faster.
"I-is he okay?!"
"Mr. Lee please calm down. I'll have a doctor come in and speak to you about it. I have to go now." And just like that, the nurse left.
Felix wanted to call out.
But he suddenly felt tired. His eyes got heavier and soon enough he fell asleep.

Felix heard a knock on the door and it opened, revealing someone new.
"Hello, my name is Doctor Kim. I hope you slept well."
Felix blinked a bit more to adjust again. He noticed the room was darker.
"You slept from the morning to night time." The doctor said.
Felix couldn't help it. He needed to ask.
"Is Chan okay?"
"Ah yes. Mr. Bang. I'm sure you know about him. He did suffer from more injuries but he will be okay. What's your relationship with him by the way?" The Doctor said.
"I'm his boyfriend." Felix answered quickly.
"Well I guess I should just give it to you straight, Mr. Lee. Mr Bang.. he's.. well he's suffering from a mild level of amnesia." The Doctor explained.
"W-What?" Felix said.
"I'm sorry that this happened. That crash damaged his head quite a bit and this was the outcome. He'll only remember some things. I hope you'll be able to care for him..." Doctor Kim said.
"Th-thank you Doctor..."
Felix didn't know what else to say. His dear boyfriend was suffering from amnesia. And it was all because of some idiot.
Will he remember Felix?
How much will he even remember?
This question started giving Felix a head ache.
"Since your being discharged tomorrow, you can see him. He's still asleep now but he might wake up. I'll leave you be. Dinner should be coming soon as well. Goodnight Mr. Lee." The Doctor left, shutting the door behind him.
And then, he let it out.
Tears streamed down his face, making his vision completely blurry.
His parents didn't even show up did they, they never do.
How could this all happen so fast?
Why did It have to be Chan. Of all people.
Why do bad things happen to good people. It's not fair.
Felix cried and cried. He just wanted to see Chan. That's all.
He cried so much he could only see so much from the swelling in his eyes.
He gave up and just fell asleep.
