Jack's P.O.V:
They forgave me, and Gabby's stomach grew larger by the month. And it was Snow's birthday. She was turning 5. And was as beautiful as ever. When I looked at Snow I felt regretful. Regretful that I wasn't there for her birth, for her first steps, for her first words.Skylar made sure I knew I did something wrong, my ass still hurts from how hard she kicked it. I mean, I couldn't hit her, she's a girl!
Snow came racing down the stairs, excited and happy for her big day. She gave her mother a kiss, hugged her round belly, then kissed my cheek and ran off with Zach. I didn't like it, not one bit. Even though he was only five, I didn't trust him. I knew how guys are. And I wouldn't have my daughter go through that.
I turned to Gabby, who looked like she had a balloon shoved in her shirt, but was still beautiful. She smiled brightly, and kissed my cheek. Her beautiful cheeks glowed a bright red, as I kissed her nose.
Gabby giggled lightly, "Jack? What if... What if something bad happens like it always does? Manny tends to like re-uniting us, then tearing us apart." Her smile faded.
I looked dead into her light blue mood eyes, "Snowflake. Nothing bad is ever going to happen to you, Snow, or little Angel. I won't let it. If we're some sick joke to Manny, then he can find himself a new punch-line."
Her eyes sparkled, and she winced in pain.
"SNOWFLAKE?!" I screamed in worry.
Gabby's P.O.V
I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, and instead of worrying for my own health, I worried for my daughter to be. What would happen to Angel?
Jack screamed, and kept saying that everything was going to be ok. My vision became blurry, and I got dizzy. It felt as if the whole room was spinning. I fell to the ground, which only made Jack yell more.
Seconds felt like minutes, and minutes felt like hours. It was seconds later that Skylar ran into the room, and screamed in horror. My vision came back, and I looked to where they were looking, and saw blood.
Snow ran into the room, screamed, then ran to my side, "Mommy! Are you ok?! Oh mom please be ok!!"
"Snow?" I croaked out.
"Mommy! Are you ok?" She cried out to me.
"Yeah, yeah baby. I'm fine. Everything's fine. I just need to lay down." I whispered, attempting to stand.
I tripped, and almost fell, but Jack caught me, "I'll carry you."
~~TS because I'm not creative~~
I woke up hours later, to see Snow at the foot of my bed. I sighed, knowing she probably missed most of the fun of her birthday, worrying about me.
"Awe, Snow, honey, you didn't stay here all day did you?" I asked, sitting up.
"Yeah. I did. It's fine though. You were hurt. Daddy wants to talk to you." She said, frowning.
With a curious look on my face, I nodded. Snow stood up, and walked out the door without another word.
Minutes later, Jack opens the door, tears in his eyes, which made me worry.
"Jack? What's wrong?" I asked, scared out of my mind.
"Gabby, someone poisoned one of your drinks, and Angel almost died, but North saved her." Jack lightly smiled.
I felt the color rush out of my body, and my body started trembling, "Someone tried poisoning me and my baby?!"
I heard a sinister laugh, and looked at my balcony only to see a face I never thought I would again.
"What are YOU doing here?!" Jack asked in absolute anger.
"Just came to wish Snow a 'Happy Birthday'" said the one person I never wanted to think of again.
Matt.
