Claudia Lazzari is a strong-willed and creative pediatric surgeon, working at Rome's Policlinico Umberto I, who has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. As she faces the journey of her battle against the disease, she finds herself distracted by the new insufferable, but talented, doctor replacing her – Leonardo Serafini. What follows are days full of bickering, singing, laughter, tears and anger – most of it taking place inside the oncology ward and in pajamas.
Disclaimer: This is my second take on a story I wrote when I was 16 on an Italian fanfiction page – EFP. You can find it under "Trouble" by Isabella29 ... in the Twilight section. This story has given me so much joy and, even though this is the first time I'm writing again after years, it never ceased to be important to me. It was thanks to it that I found my calling – nursing. And now that I am more mature, and have more knowledge on the subject, I feel ready to write this story again – from scratch. New language, new style, original characters, and set in a place I am more familiar with.
