"You're making it bigger than it is, Cla.", Carolina was saying to her friend. "He isn't really a model."

Claudia was once again scrolling through her phone, annoyed. "Read here, it says Modeling Career. That means he modelled. What kind of doctor models?"

The brunette girl rolled her eyes at the ceiling, annoyed and amused at the same time. Claudia had started to rumble about this Serafini man first thing since she entered her room and hadn't stop talking about him even when she tried changing the topic. "I read what the page says, it was just a couple of pictures for some article."

"No one's ever asked me for an interview."

"Maybe he's better than you.", Carolina shrugged.

"That was a low blow.", Claudia growled at her friend. "What is it that he's done that deserves an article, anyways."

     "Why don't you read it?"

Claudia pouted, slightly annoyed with her friend. She wasn't really helping her. "You know what, I don't want to read it. I don't care.", she exclaimed. "If he had the time to do interviews that means he was never in the OR or with his patients. That's enough for me. He's a lousy doctor."

"You know nothing about him. For what I've read, he is the opposite of lousy."

"A real doctor has to spend his time with his patients, Carolina. Not roaming around taking pictures for magazines."

"You're so biased. The thing is you're jealous.", the brunette rightly guessed.

"I thought you said you'd let me insult whoever the Chief would hire. Why are you so defensive of him now?"

Carolina smiled looking at her polished nails. "Well, I might have looked at his pictures while you were in the bathroom. He's quite good looking."

"There are pictures of him in the internet? Other than the ones from the interview?", Claudia exclaimed.

Her friend nodded. "Just a couple. He's no big celebrity, but let me tell you, he definitely could be."

     "See! He's no doctor!"

Claudia was well aware of the fact that her friend was right. She was indeed overreacting. She couldn't help it though. Everything about this guy really riled her up. But she had to admit that it was getting harder and harder to not be curious about his physical appearance. If his perfect curriculum wasn't enough, according to her friend he was also very handsome. How could a man be – supposedly – so perfect? It was making her question her self-esteem, which annoyed her.

Carolina observed her friend, she could see from where she was standing that the girl was brooding. She found it uncharacteristic of her but also funny. Between the two of them the brunette was definitely the most confident, but Claudia was just behind her. She wasn't so obvious about it, hiding herself confidence behind ironic and pungent jokes, but she knew her value. It was probably a prerequisite in her line of work. She could only guess how all of these changes might be affecting her friend. Nevertheless, this newfound anger was taking her mind of her cancer, so Carolina decided to play along with it.

"He has green eyes, you know?", the brunette said smirking again. "Just like us. It might be destiny."

Claudia scrunched up her nose in disagreement. "Destiny, my ass."
