A/N- I didn't really know what to write for this but here ya go.

(Third Person P.O.V)

When Peter fell into the coma, Tony promised to never leave his side, to look after him until Peter was better; look after him even when he is up and okay. Because that's what dads do, at least what Tony will do.

-

Tony walks into the room and sees his son, laying there almost lifeless, other than the beeping of the monitor and the constant rise and fall of his chest.

He sits in the oh so familiar chair, that he occupies everyday, there beside his son. Grabbing his hand he pulls it up to his mouth and lightly kissing it, letting Peter know he is there. "Hey bud. I'm here" Tony whispers to the small child in the bed. No movement is made by the child and Tony can feel his heart drop ever so slightly.

-

Tony walks into room, just like every day.

He sits beside his son, repeating the process of grabbing his sons hand and kissing it, repeating the words "Hey bud. I'm here".

Tony can't help but miss Peter. Yes, he is there in front of him, but is he?

He misses his childs happy smiles, that always seemed to light up the darkest of room and the lonliest of hearts.

He misses his brown doe eyes that would fill with emotions, and make him look like the most adorable puppy.

He misses his back talk and sassy comments, he knows Peter inherited from him.

He misses his company in the lab, being able to smile as Peter starts to fall asleep in the lab.

He just misses his kid.

-

Again, Tony is in the room, Peters hand in grip.

It's been 2 months. Nothing has changed. Other than the fact Tony is missing Peter more and more.

He can still remember the scream that erupted from Peters throat as the knife was slammed into him. Still remember the thud as his head hit the floor, an echoing of pain, yet so so silent.

Running to him and pulling him into him, praying and hoping for a sign of life. There was none, other than the rise and fall of his chest.

Everyday Tony will wait; watch for a sign of life.

Until then he will look after him.

-

This time as Tony enters the room something feels off.

He takes no notice and walks forward, sitting in the now uncomfortable seat.

He takes Peters hand in his and says "Hey bud. I'm here".

This time, he feels a light squeeze from the hand in his. Tony's eyes snap to his child, Bambi doe eyes, full of joy and a smile lighting the room as he says "Hey dad. I'm here".

Tears fell as Tony wrapped his arms around his son. Finally he got a response.

"I will always be here and look after you kiddo" Tony whispers into his soft curls. "I know dad. I know" Peter whispers back.
