Roommates

"You haven't payed the rent for 5 months now, I'm sorry but I have to kick you out" the landlady said while I ruffled my messy hair.

I had just woke up and I was already getting scolded by the landlady, I sighed and said "I'll pay tomorrow I promise". The landlady furrowed her eye brows and started yelling "If you don't have money then leave, I don't have time for you people"

My eyes widened, "What?" the landlady frowned and said,"I'm kicking you out, now go. If I find you here in the evening I'm calling Jackson to literally kick you out"

The landlady left with the shut of of a door. "Aigoo. Why does this have to happen to me!!" I ruffled my hair roughly.

I grabbed my phone and called a friend, Kim Namjoon, for help. "Hello" a just woken up voice said from the other side of the line.

"Hey Namjoon" I said and he was already groaning, "What is it this time?".

"Yah, don't act like I didn't save your life" I half shouted, he sighed and said "You were the reason I almost died." I was about to argue but got interrupted.

" Just tell me what you want"

"Can I live with you for a while?" there was a long long silence before a beeping was heard.

"Aish"

I packed all my things in a backpack and a big bag.

"Where do I go now?"

I exited the house and took one last look and sighed. I started walking down the street and wandered around, finding for a cheap place to stay in.

"Are you finding for a place to live?" an old woman asked, I just smiled and nodded. The old woman looked at me from head to toe and smiled. "Are you a college student?" I nodded, "I'm about to graduate in a month, ma'am".

"Oh.. I know a place where you can stay, but first you need to-"

She was interrupted by a screaming of a lady, "Jin-ho! Come back here! Jin-ho!" a little boy came into view walking towards a ball in the middle of the road.

My eyes widened, a truck was heading for the boy, the drivers not noticing the child. I dropped my bags and rushed to the little boy, engulfing the boy into a hug. Closing my eyes and waited for the pain to come.

I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar place, my neck hurting because of the position I was in. I sat up and ruffled my hair, I was in a room. A king sized bed, red velvet walls with white furniture.

I groaned, I was on a sofa.

"I mean, it would've been better if I ended up on the bed.."

The door widely opened revealing a woman in a black dress, a black veil covering the face. The woman faced me and walked towards me, crossing her arms.

"An I dead?" I mumbled, "It would be better if you turned out dead, but... no. You're not dead.. yet." the woman said removing the veil that covered her face.

It revealed a beautiful face of a young woman, I blushed when she held my chin up and leaned closer.

"Tsk. That old woman could've atleast brought me a more handsome roommate" she sighed and backed away.

"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows. She sighed again and pressed her lips together into a thin line.

"Are you also dumb? Gosh, I can't believe that woman" she sat on the red velvet blanket that covered the white sheet of the bed.

"Yah! I'm might look dumb but I'm not dumb, I have a full scholarship because of my brain and I'll be a future doctor soon" I said proudly but my pride immediately went down when she laughed.

"And so was the last one, but guess what he died in car crash and no one cared" my eyes widened at what she said.

"The last one?! What the duck does she mean"

"Confused? Well ofcourse as always. That old woman you encountered had been watching you, your actions and deeds. And when you risked your life for a little boy who was going to die anyway. It was your 1000nth good deed which made her choose you to take care of this house. Along with me" She explained, "But this time I'm quite disappointed", Looks like the lady lost her taste in men".

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I looked okay. And basing from what she said I did good deeds"

"She doesn't just pick people who does 1000 good deeds. She chooses people who suits me, and will live with me" I laughed, she glared at me with her charcoal black eyes and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Why are you laughing?" she asks. I stopped laughing and smirked, "She basically match makes you with random people, and you like it because you feel lonely" I say, then the next thing I know I was pushed against a wall gripping my neck tightly.

"Do you think I like it when random people barge in and out of the house. All the people that came are annoying and caused problems, so I'm warning you now. Don't get in my way or else.." She stares deep into my soul, and tightens the grip on my neck, making me not able to breath.

"I'll make sure you living with me will be like hell" she releases my neck and I fall into the sofa, taking deep breathes.

"I need to escape this house"

I ran towards the door and got out of the room, I was met with hallways, many hallways. I ran into endless ones until I fall into my knees from exhaustion.

I heard someone walking towards me, and of course it's the lady in black.

"Don't try leaving. Cause even when you get out of this house, you have nowhere to go, plus you'll die sooner if you live in other places" she looked down me and tapped the tip of my nose.

"Now come on, I'm hungry" she starts walking while I watch her, she turns on her heels and looked at me. "Do you not want to get out of this house?" She says, as I forced my self to stand up and follow her.

"How did I end up being here, I need to escape. And even if I nowhere to live"
