THE first time you saw the tired boy was at 2:30am. Your stomach had begun to rumble earlier that night and you had decided to satisfy your cravings for ice cream and go to the convenience store beside your house.
You were at the till when he walked through the door. His hair was messy and his eyes tired.
He caught you looking at him and smiled. You got very flustered and turned back to the raven haired girl at the till and payed.
You were about to leave the shop when someone said, "That's an interesting choice, considering it's freezing outside."
It was tired boy.
"Um I-, well I'm just really in the mood for ice cream okay." You said defensively. The handsome stranger chuckled and went to the freezer.
His high pitched laugh was almost infectious and made you smile.
He then grabbed a tub of ice cream for himself and lifted it up, "Can I join you?"
You had originally been planning to take the cold treat home and watch a movie or something but you decided you could do that any other day and agreed.
He grinned and rushed to pay.
The two of you then left and sat outside on the pavement. "Oh, I'm Chenle by the way." He said sticking out his hand for you to shake. "Y/n." You replied simply.
You opened up your ice cream and began to dig in with the spoon that came with it.
The late night run here was definitely worth it.
Chenle examined the way your eyes lit up after your first spoonful of ice cream. "You sure do like ice cream huh."
You blushed embarrassed. "Uh huh." You nodded mouth full of ice cream.
He laughed again. It was only the second time you had heard it but it was already beginning to turn into your favorite sound ever.
He yawned whilst rubbing his eyes so you decided to ask, "You look tired, why are you awake at this time?"
Chenle shrugged. "I'm just really busy and stressed right now and when I try and fall asleep I'm always suddenly wide awake. I thought maybe a walk around would help."
