(Before I start, this question was done for my mock exam! This was question 5 paper 2 English Language. Hope you enjoy!)

Dear editor,

Are you considered good looking?

Do you judge people entirely on their appearance?

That's the problem! Everybody judges (purely on looks) which are not how things should be done!

In today's society, money is the only thing people seem to be thinking about. But why? Money can't buy you happiness. Money is not considered a "friend". Money is just an illusion that everybody believes in.

Just think about it.

Money, is just an advanced way of trading, isn't it? People used to trade with animals; valuables; materials; even children! (Thank God we don't do that today. Yikes!)

In today's society, people just think that "good looks are everything you need in life!", "good looks are what people judge you on first, so you must be beautiful to succeed!". However... what about talent? What about creativity? What about happiness?

Even in animals, we reject the ugly ones. You might love snakes for example! But the next person would call you weird and would call you a snake.

Moths.

Do you like them? Do you see the beauty in them? Do you kill them?

When we see moths, we immediately think that they are not worth living. That they are useless. That they should just die off. I admit I did too. I'm not going to lie, I did kill a few! Why?

Their wings.

Their wings are the problem. Their appearance.

Butterflies are the same thing as moths. They are also bugs that can fly; be free. However, we don't kill them. Why?

Their wings.

Their wings are considered beautiful. Their appearance is considered valuable enough, for them not to get killed by us. This is how our society works as well. We look up to beautiful people. We don't look at their actions, or how they interact with other people, because all we care about, is how they look like, and if they like us or not.

We don't even care if those people are toxic, vicious, snakes. All there is to it is that they are beautiful, attractive, popular.

This is not how it should be done!

As an advanced society, we should be looking at the talent that someone has. Someone might be old, unattractive, weird looking, but they might end up having the most beautiful, attractive, amazing talent, that would make you feel guilty and ashamed of how you so quickly judged them.

If you recognise this reference, I congratulate you, because that's a reference to the woman on Britain's Got Talent. There was a woman called Susan, and the audience laughed at her, because of how she looked and behaved like. She ended up having such an incredible voice, she received a standing ovation from the same people that had the look of disgust, and people who judged her.

We should learn to love and accept the person, after, we get to know them.

Let's not judge people, like we judge butterflies and moths. Let's learn from our mistakes and judgement.

We should love ourselves.

We should work together because as a very inspirational, famous, and amazingly talented group said: "teamwork makes the dream work."

I hope I got at least the attention of one person.

Yours sincerely
