Richie's POV:
It was the end of math and Henry slid me a note before we started to leave. I carefully opened it and read what was inside. It said 'meet me at the side of the cafeteria at lunch.' Fuck. I didn't want anyone to know that he had told me that or that I was going there so I kept my mouth shut and looked at him in fear. "So who's "E"?" I heard Eddie ask me.
"Who's who?"
"You wrote 'R+E' on your math book, who's the lucky...girl." Eddie said with a pause between lucky and girl.
"Umm. No one. It's no one."
"There's a freshman called Emma in my french class. Is it herrrrr??"
"What?! No! I don't even know an Emma."
"Well it has to be someone with an E"
"Eddie, the only person I know starting with an E is you." I paused and stopped walking after I said that and looked at Eddie as he looked at me, his cheeks bright pink.
"N-not like that Ed's."
"Omg you sound like Bill." He said as we laughed. "So are you going cafetería for lunch right??" Eddie asked.
"Yeah but I have some homework to do before. It'll take about 5 minutes."
"I can help if you want."
"No no. It's fine." I smiled back, it was nice that he wanted to help.

Second, third and fourth period skipped quickly. All I could think about was Henry and what was going to happen at lunch. Hopefully nothing bad. But counting as that Henry is my bully.... it's most likely.

I walked out of Spanish as I shouted to the class "ADIÓS PUTAS!" As Eddie looked at me in embarrassment.
"I know you just walked out of Spanish but PLEASE DONT DO YOUR IMPRESSIONS"
"Fine fine Ed's." He rolled his eyes
"Ready to go to lunch?"
"No. Remember I have to do homework?"
"Oh yeah." He looked disappointed
"Go with the other losers to lunch and I'll catch up with you."
"Okay. Cya there!" He said as he waved goodbye to me. I walked myself towards the side of the cafeteria where I saw Henry, Connor and Patrick. Connor was Henry's cousin but was my friend. We'd go to the arcade together until Henry and his gang turned up. Patrick was Henry's sidekick. He was always with him. "What do you want Henry?"
"You mean what don't I want? I don't want fairies like you in our school." I knew by now that fairies was another word for 'fag' or 'gay' so obviously it hurt.
"I'm not gay dumbass so will you let me go?"
"Did you just call me dumbass?" I could see Patrick looking excited and walking towards me slowly.
"S-sorry I d-didn't m-mean-"
"Oh well. You've said it now. Connor come here." Connor came forward looking scared "Connor I want you to hit him." Henry told him.
"What?!" He looked at me in shock.
"You heard me. Hit him." As I said before, Connor was my friend but he was different around Henry and his gang. He came forward and started hitting me and kicking me till I was on the ground, taking the beats silently. After I was bruised and cut, they all left me on the ground and went away. After about 5 minutes, I had the strength to get up and walk (barely).

I walked into the cafeteria and walked to the losers table. I saw Mike look at me first in horror at the state of my face. I sat down with them and started getting bombarded with questions. "Are you okay rich?!" Bev asked.
"I-I'm fine. Promise."
"You don't look fine." Said Stan.
"Stan trust me I'm fine. Just a little bruised." I looked around and didn't see Eddie. "Where's Eddie??" I asked
"He came here and said that you weren't coming to lunch today and you didn't come very quickly so he left to look for you." Ben answered me.
"Wait really? I told him I was doing homework."
"Do you really think Eddie would believe that? And obviously you weren't doing homework." Bev said as she looked up and down at my beaten up face and teared clothes.
"Okay maybe not."
"What e-even h-happened?" Bill asked.
"It's fine. You guys don't need to get involved and I don't want you to. I need to find Eddie though so I'll catch up with you guys at 6th period!" I started walking around the school to find Eddie. I needed to tell him and only him about what had just happened.

Sorry that I haven't been active as I have already said. If you guys would please recommend this book to other people so it can get more popular it would be amazing! I really hope you guys like these fan fics and want more. And this is set when they are teenagers so no, Eddie and Stan are not dead and they still go to school. They are about 14 years old in this book just to clarify. Thank you 😊❤️
