Lucy wanted to scream and throw something at the Telmarine soldiers that were surrounding Leadre. One of which was touching her almost everywhere before skinning her alive.

But her anger could not compare to the rage Aslan felt when he saw the poor state his mate was in. Before Lucy could blink, Aslan charged pass her and towards the soldiers with a great roar.

Lucy quickly followed after him and paid no attention to the soldiers around her, confident that Aslan would protect her and Leandre.

Aslan intended to scare them off but the one who violated his mate was the only one he wanted to kill. He may be a king with a conscience but sometimes the instinct to protect and defend one's mate rules out all cognitive thinking.

Lucy closed her eyes at the sound of pained screams and flesh tearing and only opened when she heard nothing but silence. She opened her eyes to see Aslan walking towards her but his eyes was towards an unconscious Leandre "Will she be alright?"

Aslan didn't say anything but merely pushed Leandre where her belly was showing and placed a paw on top and began rubbing it slowly upwards. Lucy watched in awe when Leandre suddenly convulsed and coughed out something out of her mouth.

Lucy shuffled away from the substance that landed on a patch of green that immediately began  to wither and die. Lucy gaped at the disturbing sight before she turned her attention to a coughing Leandre who groaned and moved around before slowly opening her eyes.

Everything was blurry with only flashes of color coming through her vision until her vision slowly cleared and the golden color right in front of her was the one she had been searching for throughout this journey. Unable to help herself, Leandre slowly nuzzled close to Aslan's mane.

"You're late"

"I'm sorry"

Most females would want their males' apology to be something extravagant and meaningful, Leandre merely wanted the latter with or without the former "Where have you been?" Leandre asked and she received no answer because she suddenly felt the shift within the trees and she watched in awe when they slowly began to move and sway.

"Aslan...did you-" Lucy quickly pushed her up "There is no time for small talk, we have to go back and help Peter and the others" Lucy said and Leandre shook her head to clear her thoughts and proceeded to follow Aslan's steady gait towards the bridge.

Back at the How, Peter wanted to shout out to the Heaven's as the number of Narnians dwindled slowly and considered surrendering to save the others and prevent more bloodshed. He was on the brink of falling down until he saw a man being lifted up off the ground by a tree root before slamming him back down.

Peter gasped with renewed strength as he staggered to where Caspian fell and saw him still alive and looking at the dead body of a soldier the Prince probably knew from before. Caspian saw Peter's outstretched hand and swiftly grabbed it. The Narnians let out shouts of joy and victory felt like it was in their grasp.

They charged as the trees followed close behind to take down the catapults and the Telmarines soon finds themselves vulnerable and decided to take down all the Narnians at the bridge as a last resort.

"How come I never knew there was a quick way to the bridge?"

Leandre said with a frown before she looked at Asan who gave her a small smile. She shook her head while Lucy laughed from her position on Aslan's back. Leandre and Aslan's ears twitched when they heard the sounds of horse hooves thundering, they were close.

"They're planning to destroy the bridge and flood the Narnians when they cross" Leandre surmised with narrowed eyes "We have to stop them" Lucy said as she lightly clenched her hands "How are we going to stop the Telmarines from crossing over?" Lucy asked herself before Leandre brightened when she met Aslan's gaze.

"I have a plan!"
