ELEVEN

Night-fall had arrived, the time was 7:30 and I was dressed in all White Slacks that rested just above my ankles and a Black Belt around the waist, Navy Blue Suede Oxfords Dress Shoes with Metallic Stud Rivets, no socks. I pulled on a Navy Blue Slim Fitting Manwan Walk Business Buttoned Down Dress Shirt and rolled the sleeves up to my elbows and left it unbuttoned from my neckline down to the beginning of my Six-pack. The Outfit complemented my dark chocolate skin flawlessly. I sprayed Clive Christian 1872 Cologne in the air and stepped under the mist and let it trickle down on me, slid on some lightly tinted Hater-Blockers, completing the Fit.

I gave myself the once over in the mirror and was pleased with what I saw and went in search of my Nubian Lover.
Why is it that women are never ready at a decent time? It galls me that women take the amount of time that they do just to get ready. When I entered the room she was standing in front of the bed, not dressed, with three dresses spread out unable to come to a decision.

"Hey, Bae." I greeted. "Are you about ready? The car is here."

Dedra glanced back at Elliott and smiled broadly. She turned and faced him. Elliott really did clean up nicely, he was the true definition of Tall, Dark, and Handsome. Dedra concluded that Elliott strongly resembles the Actor Derek Luke, especially in that movie Baggage Claim.

"I can't decide which dress I'll look the best in, for you." Wined Dedra.

"Look, My love, it doesn't matter," I stated, "Because, whatever you wear will look good to me, so there's no wrong choice here."

"El, are you sure?"

I nodded in response to her question.

The driver pulled up in front of De Luca's, stepped out and opened the door granting us an exit. He took Dedra's hand into his assisting her with getting out of the car and I think I felt a tinge of jealousy. I had no right to feel this emotion with all that I was harboring, but yet and still I did. Once I was free from the backseat I quickly took Dedra's hand into mine, passed the driver a forty dollar tip and ushered my woman inside of the restaurant. De Luca's was active, customers were moving in and out of the place, wearing their satisfaction on their faces.
