Blue kneeled down besides Pink Diamond's Palanquin her heart heavy with loss as she stared at the overgrown object that represented her beloved Pink. She began to sob quietly ignoring the soft sniffles coming from her Pearl. Tears began to run quickly down her cheeks her heart shattering inside of her chest as she began to talk quietly to no one in particular.
"Pink, I'm so sorry...If I never would of approved of your colony you'd still be..." Her voice cut out overcome with a sudden feeling of pain.
An all too familiar whirring sound began to fill the silent field that she was in her soft sigh filling the air as she got up watching the yellow arm shaped ship land besides her own similar blue arm ship. Yellow Diamond exited her ship looking over Blue her expression sharp, powerful, intimidating so much in fact that Blue couldn't meet her gaze despite being just as influential as her.
"Blue, Yellow started her voice sounding exasperated as she pressed her fingers into her temple looking around the world. It's bad enough that you're neglecting your responsibilities on Homeworld, but you cannot keep running here." Yellow's voice surged with power on every word stepping closer to Blue.
"She's gone, Blue, we cannot keep looking back. Your gems need you! Homeworld needs you!" Her voice got soft as she put her hand under Blue's chin tilting her head so that Blue was staring in her eyes.
"We have to move on,Blue." Yellow gestured to the overgrown planet that was now earth. After the announcement of Pink's demise, Yellow, Blue, and White struck the earth with their powers eliminating any sign of the rebellion and life on the planet.
Blue's sobs began to worsen listening to her fellow Diamond collapsing against Yellow's shoulder her face going into the crook of Yellow's neck who quickly supported her.
"Yellow, how could we possibly move on from her? She brought us together!" Blue cried looking up at her, Yellow Diamond couldn't help but sympathize with her and if anything hide the part of her that missed Pink as well. But she knew she had to get Blue back on schedule before White did.
"She'll always be apart of us Blue and we couldn't possibly forget her but things must get back to normal." Blue nodded no longer denying the fact that she had tons of work to do.
"How am I supposed to get everything done,Yellow? She whispered into her neck not wanting to show anymore weakness in front of the Pearls
"I'll help you as much as I can,Blue, not to mention you have the help of your gems and pearl." Yellow began to lead them back to her ship the pearls quickly following behind.
"What about my ship?" Blue asked noticing that yellow was putting her inside of her ship.
"We'll have someone come and fetch it but for now we'll leave it." Blue nodded and sighed laying back as she watched Yellow lift her arm the ship easily and perfectly taking off and launching into the atmosphere. But that was the thing about Yellow, she did everything perfectly. The air between them started to become unsettlingly quiet as Yellow focused her attention on flying the ship.
"Did White notice..."Blue asked her voice trembling slightly as she thought of White Diamond.
"Of course she did, Blue. She notices everything you and I both are aware of that." Yellow muttered her sharp eyes briefly cutting into Blue's. Blue Diamond looked down a sense of shame filling her as she thought about,White Diamond. White Diamond was always controlling but after Pink's death she only worsened. Homeworld now becoming a place of misery, even more so than before.
"But you shouldn't worry so much Blue. You're going to take care of your responsibilities now so White shouldn't need to have a talk with you. She knows I'll keep you on track. I keep everything on track don't I?" Yellow sighed her voice sounding slightly tired as Blue looked at her with slight alarm.
"You're going to work yourself into a cracking, Yellow" Blue laughed softly the first time she's laughed after Pink's death. Yellow smiled happy to hear her laugh a deep chuckle escaping her lips as well.
"You're not wrong. Yellow sighed relaxing knowing that they were getting closer to Homeworld. It seems as if I'm the only Diamond still working to make Homeworld as normal as it was before Pink-" Yellow stopped talking noticing the change in Blue. Blue shook of any feeling of pain and smiled softly her eyes focusing on her home.
"It's okay,Yellow." She took a deep breaths attempting to put any of feelings of mourning to the back of her head.
"We have work to do don't we?" Yellow smiled and nodded landing the ship.
"We certainly do,Blue,welcome back."
