THREE | REBEL (WITHOUT A CAUSE)
THE FIRST THING THAT SELINE THOUGHT WHEN SHE WOKE UP WAS THAT HER NECK HURT. Like, it really fucking hurt. Sitting up slowly, she tried to stretch it out, hoping the pain wouldn't be that bad but it that only made her hurt more. It caused her to swear under her breath.
The spell she had put on her hair yesterday morning had long since worn off, leaving her pale locks sticking up in an assortment of annoying directions. The fronts of it stuck in a way that made her side bangs look like devil horns while the back was just a giant ball of frizz. She could feel the morning breeze blow the back of her hair up, coming in from the window she had opened yesterday to expel the vomit smell. Seline, who had already been facing the window, squinted at the morning sunlight that was blinding her through the peak in the curtain.
"I fell asleep here?" she asked herself out loud, groaning again at the pain in her neck as she attempted to sit up. Why did she do this shit to herself?
"It seems that you did, Miss. Winchester," said a voice that Seline recognised instantly and it sent a terrified shiver down her spine. Seline jumped and thought she might've had a heart attack, had she been old and frail. "My only question is, why?" asked Professor Snape, staring down his long nose in disgust. He looks extra greasy today, her brain decided to point out. Her heart was beating so fast that she could feel it in her throat as he slowly stepped towards her. She just wants him to get this over with, please.
Sitting up from the desk she'd fallen asleep on and fighting through the sharp pain that shot down her spine, Seline stared up at Professor Snape. Her body shook with fear as she attempted to meet his eyes (she kind of understood why he was Neville Longbottom's boggart now) "P—Professor?" her voice trembled even though she had been determined to sound unbothered.
Snape's eyes narrowed at her. "Well?" he asked impatiently, tapping his foot on the concrete floor and the sound echoed. Each tap made her anxiousness increase by tenfold. Seline already knew she couldn't tell the truth, for a multitude of reasons. (Mainly because Hogwarts is lacking a consistent anti-bullying policy).
