SIX | WHAT A QUIDDITCH BITCH

THE FOURTH-YEAR SLYTHERIN GIRLS DORM HAD BUZZED WITH EXCITEMENT THAT NIGHT, AFTER THE WELCOME FEAST. The six girls chatted excitedly about every single detail until the dead of night. Predictions, the guests, every aspect was discussed in the greatest of detail. All the candles were lit, illuminating the green-themed room (like, Seline gets that green is Slytherins thing but was green carpet, bedding and curtains necessary in one room? She appreciates that at least the wallpaper is silver). Lights out was supposed to be two hours ago but the hoard of fourteen-year-olds were much too excited to follow the rules. Besides, Nicolette had a knack for silencing charms so Snape couldn't possibly hear them.

With all the excitement, rivalries and prejudices seemed to be forgotten for the evening. Pansy, Daphne and Millicent were happily mingling with Seline, Astoria and Nicolette. It was as if they'd stepped into an alternate dimension.

"and did you see Viktor Krum? Like, wow; what a fucking man, am I right?" Seline gushed exciting, absently playing with Astoria's hair as she laid her head Seline's lap. They were all on Nicolette's bed.

Pansy, tossing her green and silver tie on the floor nodded, "oh my god, yes!" Millicent giggled as she tossed a sweet at Nicolette, who successfully caught it with her mouth.

Seline's Quidditch-obsessed friend was sat near the window, making faces at the mermaids who swam past. Sometimes Seline worried that they'd crash through the window and spear them all to death.

It's a shame, Seline had thought in first-year, that the mermaids are nothing like Ariel and her sisters. (God, she loved that film).

"He's alright, I guess," Astoria said, fiddling with a rubrics cube that Seline had gifted her two Christmas's ago. She focused on the colourful box, determined to finally solve it.

Daphne sat up, her jaw hung low. "What do mean alright?"

Astoria rolled her eyes, her determined look fading into a happy smile. Seline could tell that she liked it very much when her friends and twin got on.
