Spencer's POV
I got to Hayes house and I knocked on the door and a blonde girl (chapter photo) answered the door she looked about my age 
"Uhh hi is Hayes here?" I asked
"No actually he's not Him and Nash want to walmart they will be back in half an hour." She paused "You can come in if you want." I put on a fake smile and walked in.
"So whats your name." She asked while sitting on the couch
"Spencer. Whats yours." I asked and sitting as far away from her as I could. I can just tell that she is not a good person.
"I'm Mariah." She smiled a huge fake smile. I heard the door open and walked over too see Elizabeth carrying a butt load of groceries.
"Hey Elizabeth do you need any help?" I asked while taking some bags from her.
"Ahh Spencer you are just an angel." She huffed and tucked back some loose strands from her ponytail back behind her ear
"There are more in the trunk if you want to be a dear." She smiled and put her hands on her hips then walked out the door. I followed her out to her car. I grabbed a few bags and walked back into the kitchen set the bags down and walked back to grab the milk Elizabeth didn't. I came back in and shut the door. 
"Hey Mariah I'm Ms.Grier." I herd Elizabeth say. I walked into the living room to where mariah and Elizabeth were.
Mariah didn't even bother to look up from her phone.
I herd the door open again and I saw Nash and Hayes come into the kitchen. I walked over and waved at himto make sure he saw that i was here. His icy blue eyes went wide when he saw that i was here and his mom was here and talking to mariah.
He put his bags on the ground and ran over to his mom 
"Hey Mom i see you met mariah." He looked down and put his hands in his pockets like he was guilty of some thing.
"Yeah she is . . . interesting" She said and started to put groceries away.
"Hey Spence when did you get here?" He said while sitting down.
Mariah's phone went off.
"Okay my mom said i have to come home so ill see you tomorrow." She puts on her famous fake smile and hugged him and left.
"Hey Spence come here." He smiled, stood up and held out his hands.I smiled and took his hands. He pulled me up with no effort. I looked over at Elizabeth who just smiled to her self and continued to put groceries away.

I followed Hayes down to the lake and he led me over to this beautiful tree that drapes over the lake.
He looked at me and said
"Are you ready to climb." He said while grabbing my waist.
"Why not." I laughed as he lifted me in to the tree. I climbed my way to the branch that was exactly over the water.
Hayes managed to get into the tree easily enough. Its like he has done it hundreds of times.
"I see you have had some practice." 
"Yeah well its not hard when you have done it 500 times." He smiled.
I returned the smile and looked down at the water.
"So why did you bring me here?" I look at him
"Well this is where i go when i need to cope with things or when I'm frustrated sad or when I need to think"
"Well since we are sharing can I tell you something that only my mom and Emma knows. Savannah doesn't even know."
"Spencer you can tell me any thing." He smiled at me.
I exhaled sharply on the edge of crying.
"When I was younger, When my father was still in the picture he was really abusive. It was SO bad that he pulled Emma and I out of school so he wouldn't go to jail." I choked on my tears. Hayes moved closer and wrapped his arms around me and kind of swayed back forth. " My mom was always to scared to go the police and when ever she tried to make him stop beat us he would just turn around and hit her." I stopped to wipe my tears again.
I exhaled sharply and trying to catch my breath.
"The breaking point for my mom is when i was 10 i was getting ready for bed and he took me and thew me on the bed."
This when i had my melt down and just couldn't talk about any thing any more. I just turned around and cried wet salty tears into Hayes shoulder.
"Spencer It's okay." He pulled me out of his shoulder and kept his hands on both of shoulder.
He reached up and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I Just looked down at the water.
"Spencer look at me." He said with the most sincere voice i have ever herd.
I just kept looking down at the water.
I Felt a pair of warm hands on my tear soaked face. Hayes lifted up my face so I was looking at him.
"Hey spence do you want to know something?" He asked while stroked my face with his thumbs
"What?" I managed to choke out.
" I think you are one most amazing and beautiful girls in this whole world and Im so happy that I have earned your trust to tell me the most tramatizing things in your life and I love that about you." He paused and I started smiling like a goon.
"You mean the world to me and I will always protect you no matter what. I want you in my life forever and i Dont mean for A long Time I mean you are with me FOREVER and I mean that and I want to add one more thing I love Spencer Paige Nelson." He smiled and Kissed my forehead.
"Hayes can I tell you another secret?"
"Yeah anything." 
I Leaned in to whisper "I love you too." 
Then with all my strength i pushed him off in to the water
