"Okay, two things." Isla said as Kaven sat down next to her. Kaven nodded, waiting for her to continue. "One, where am I? Two, you've been looking for me?"
The blonde-haired boy nodded again. "About that, I should probably let Jacky boy explain. His mom conducted the whole 'We need to find this girl or humanity will be destroyed,' meeting."
"What?" This day was getting more confusing by the second.
"Like I said, I'm letting Jack explain this to you." Kaven ran his hand through his hair. "Oh yeah, and Silhouette here," He gestured to the black wolf. "He brought you to Flickerflight."
"Flickerflight?" Isla buried her head in her knees.
"Yeah, it's the name of the house. One of my many houses, actually." He admitted, patting his lap so Silhouette could come and sit with them.
"MANY HOUSES?"
"Geez, how much do I have to explain to you?" Her response was a shrug. Kaven sighed in defeat. "We're fairies. Well, not you, you're something else, like a hybrid or something. Jack didn't say. Anyways, every time a new member of a family is born, the newfairy is given ownership of their own house. We get to name it and stuff."
"So Flickerflight is yours.. How many does your family have?"
"Ohh, here we go. We have 9. My dad's is Pufferin, Mom's got Modern Palace. She's not original. So my siblings and I have, Theffasea, Journey, Seatopia, Neolia, Gallawrough, Iris, and Flickerflight." He counted off his fingers. "It's a lot of siblings, I know. I have no idea what my parents were thinking. But whatever. They cursed me with being the youngest. Luckily, I get privacy, since everyone forgets about the youngest child."
Isla was silent. "Wow. I wish I had siblings."
Kaven jumped to his feet, looking shocked. "Woah, woah, woah. No you don't."
"Yes I do."
"Liar. You do not."
"Trust me, I do."
The blonde-haired boy gave her a doubting look. Until they were interrupted by a voice.
"Oh good, you found her."
