Chapter One

I curl up next to Blink, who snuggles me close to him.
"Hey." I smile
"Hey."
I rest my head sleepily on his shoulder.
He smiles and kisses my forehead.
I slowly drift off to sleep in his arms.
I'm half asleep when I hear Spritz's voice in a quiet whisper
"She asleep?"
"Yeah." Blink whispers back, stroking my hair softly.
I stir slightly.
His grip tightens around my shoulder.
I open my eyes.
"Hey."
"Hi."
I sit up and he kisses my cheek.
I smile.
Spritz returns and Blink puts his arm around my shoulder
"Look who's awake. Hey, Brooklyn." She smiles
"Aye, Spritz" I reply sleepily
We share some conversation before getting up and ready to seize the day.
