CHAPTER 1
Being in a 15 hour flight alone has been such a torture, not to mention the guy who was sitting next to me was snoring all the time. But the lady beside me was nice, but she keeps talking about her son of hers that she is so proud of. She said he was about my age, and that he sings. Not that I cared of. Then I told her why I had to move out to London when I was perfectly fine living in Indonesia.
Well, I might not like it so much in Indonesia, but I sure do have my reasons. Talking to her made me feel that someone actually cared about me, something not many people do. Found out that she was on a vacation to Bali for a few weeks, no wonder she was tanned. I was just wondering why she went alone without her husband or this son of hers.
Using the blue skirt mom bought for me ages ago wasn’t the best choice of clothing. I was freezing in the plane, thank god the stewardess handed out a blanket for me. My black leather jacket was comfy enough to cover my white tanktop.
When I arrived in Heathrow Airport, I said my goodbyes to that lady and went on to find where I could take my baggages.
The airport was really crowded, had a hard time to find where the baggages pick up section so I spent 15 minutes going back to the same place until I asked someone where it was.
As I got there, not much people left were waiting for the baggage, I immediately found my pink suitcases and took the trolly to the nearest Starbucks. Bought myself a Hot Chocolate, and as I turned around to go to my seat, this boy just bumped in to me and spilled my Hot Chocolate all over my whte tanktop and his red shirt.
“Watch where you’re going! See what you did?”, I half-yelled at him. Everyone there turned there heads to see what was going on. “Watch where I’m going? Why don’t you watch where you’re going?”, he said calmly but firm. His brown eyes would make any girl melt, but his charms wasn’t working on me.
“My shirt is ruined now, the stain won’t go away!”, I tried cleaning them with a tissue. “Try using water and soap later stupid”. “Who do you think you’re calling stupid?”, said me while still struggling to clean my shirt. I can’t arrive at my Uncle’s house like this.
“Dan! There you are! Where’s my coffee honey?”, said the lady from the plane. “Mum, sorry. I haven’t bought it yet”. “Oh my dear, Sam. Hello! What happened to you? Is this how Dan say hello to you?”, said Lucy with a worried eyes.
“Oh hi Lucy! Yeah we sort of bumped to each other”, glancing at Dan. “wasn’t my fault. She was the one who didn’t see where she was going”, Dan said defensively. “Is this your son you’ve been talking about? What a great way to meet”, I said sarcastically.
“Please forgive him Sam, he could be like that sometimes”.”No no, it’s fine, I have a pair of change in my bag so if you’ll excuse me”, I rushed to the ladies bathroom and changed my white tanktop to a white t-shirt. Didn’t even feel like cleaning it so I just threw it away.
As I was walking back to Starbucks, I could see that Lucy was busy calling someone. Might be important by the look of her face. I tried to walk away from Dan, but someone took my arm from behind, “hey”. “um yes?”
“Look I’m sorry with what I did to your vest. I didn’t mean to do that, I just did. Maybe that’s the way I could get to say hi to a pretty girl and ask for her number”
