Fayora watched Ben's suit flicker out of existence.
Everything was going according to plan.
Well, for the most part anyway, the dark suit would definitely bring it's own problems sometime soon, but she would just have to work with it when they came.
She sat, her feet dangling over the edge of the Cornucopia's platform, her short hair being whipped in the wind.
She decided to wait before following them, the audience would go nuts trying to figure out what she has been planning. Besides something Ben had said had Fayora disturbed.
When they were by the tree, Ben had accidentally admitted to had been forced to go to the training academy he went to. Fayora hadn't thought that someone so young would think like that.
She witnessed that very few of the older teenagers in her district had voiced the same opinions, though she wouldn't be caught alive admitting she shared the same opinion.Fayora hated the fact that the small twelve year old had reminded her how much she hated the training camp. It had made her feel trapped, or as a bloodthirsty riot trained to murder without second guessing herself, brainwashed into doing what everyone expected for her to be, an assassin.
And it infuriated her that someone the age of Ben, a simple twelve year old, was also thinking these ways, being torn between wanting to please everyone, or themselves.
Fayora shook her head to clear it, and stood up.
She was just about to alert the rest of her allies when she noticed a couple green suits and a couple yellow suits walking where Wesley and Benjamin just were at least a half hour ago.
She sneered, now things were going even better than she planned.
"Leroy!" She barked, and he immediately appeared by her side, his orange suit matching hers.
"Macy! Hugo!!" The two shuffled around, both coming to her side.Fayora turned to face them, Leroy's eyes were slanted, as cold as steel; Macy had an annoyed expression on her heart-shaped face, her long blonde hair blowing in the wind with her orange suit reflecting off of it; and Hugo tugged on his blue tipped bangs, his intelligent almond shaped eyes slightly worried.
"It's time." She smirked.
Leroy took the lead, Fayora right behind him, Hugo after that, and Macy in the rear. Fayora had decided to leave their other three allies with the cornucopia, just in case someone tried to pull a raid with her gone.
They easily followed the trail the group had left behind, and had just reached a lime green flowing river when the anthem rung out, and the arena lit into daytime.
Fayora scowled, furrowing her eyebrows to try to keep the sun out of them as she watched the tributes portraits go by, with other tributes name's underneath it.
"That the boy we're trying to recruit?" Hugo asked as the boy from district five's face went by with Ben's name under it.
"Yes, Benjamin Hunter, scored a ten in training if I remember correctly." Leroy agreed.
The arena plummeted into darkness after the anthem was complete, making Macy curse again.
The group continued, shining their flashlights on the footprints they were following. The terrain shifted a little to a jungly-pine forest with large boulders the size of a house.
