No ones POV:After the meal with your father, you went home and sat on your couch, not doing anything specific, but just sitting there. A little tired, somehow because of the extra unusual interaction today. It felt nice to talk to people again, or at least someone else than your father. Not that talking to him was bad, but talking to someone new was almost refreshing. You sighed, staring off into space but you were soon interrupted by a short ringtone followed by your phone vibrating. Your eyes darted to the phone screen and examined it quickly.
CoffeeChris is calling......
Quickly clearing your throat, you swiped the icon to the right to answer. Your hand holding the phone brought it up to your ear and you spoke.
"Hello?"
"Hello?"
Both of you spoke at the same time, except his accent was stronger and clear. You chuckled and so did he, but he began to speak.
"Hey Y/n. How was your evening?" He asked as you could hear the smile in his voice. This made you grin just the slightest bit.
"Chris! It was better than I've had in a while. Overall was a pretty good day. How was your evening?" You responded happily, for once. You were throughly delighted when his deeper voice responded again.
"It was pretty good also. Is this the first evening that you've had that was good? In a while?" His tone of voice changed from happy to worried very quickly. Was he really, genuinely worried? A short silence followed soon after but you responded quickly.
"Yeah no worries." You had to come up with something to get off topic. Or else he would ask why and you would end up crying to someone you just met today. A cute guy, you just met today. You mentally slapped yourself. "How did you know you wanted to open a coffee shop?" You thought of a question and you said it without thinking.
"My mom and dad really love coffee so," ouch. "I gave my shot at college culinary courses and during that, I worked at Starbucks. So I got kick started on my new career! And somehow I ended up opening my own cafe. I enjoy it a lot." He nodded his head while he gave you a brief explanation.Chris's POV:
I gave her a short explanation. I could tell she was wanting to change the subject, so I decided that I could drop the conversation. I could always ask her once we got closer. I had a super strong feeling we would become good friends. Maybe even more. She responded.
"That's nice. So I'm guessing your parents some there a lot?"
"Yeah, almost every weekday. The only thing bad about that, is they always wanted the same drinks. My dad and mom refuse to try anything else." I chuckled lightly as I explained. Our conversations grew longer, just like earlier today. Which was nice, because we were getting to know each other bit by bit. The only thing I noticed was, whenever we got on the topic of parents, she would grow quieter, or avoid that subject. Which I decided to ignore for now.Y/n POV:
My eyes were tearing up and I yawned in the middle of a sentence, I heard him chuckle.
"Are you tired y/n?" He asked, sounding a little tired himself. I got up and walked to my bedroom. I laid down on my bed and responded to his question.
"Just a little." I looked at the clock. 11:47. "Woah, Chris look at the time." You exclaimed, laughing a little. It had been a little over two hours that we had been on the phone...already?
"We should get some rest. I hope to see you soon!" He responded, yawning himself.
"Goodnight Chris." I tiredly wished him goodnight.
"Goodnight Y/n." He did the same and I hung up, and plugged in my phone. That two hours flew by. It was nice to talk to him like that. We both learned a lot about each other during the phone call, and my eyes filled with tears every time he mentioned his mother, and how happy they were. But I forced myself to shrug it off. So now, after holding in all the tears, they exploded from my eyes.No ones POV:
So there you were, laying on your bed while rivers of tears ran down your cheeks. You tossed and turned in the bed, and you got more and more tired. So many emotions at once was just terrifying. Curled up in a ball. At the moment you just wanted everything to stop. You wanted to stop crying, you wanted your negative emotions to disappear. But you knew, that not anytime soon would that happen anytime soon. Being like this was something you couldn't stand, and you wanted to get rid of it. Get rid of the feeling of extreme sadness and anxiety. Everything grew dark when your eyes shut closed as you fell asleep
You woke up from a dreamless sleep. Maybe today will be better? You got up and realized that you slept in the outfit you had on yesterday. Sighing, you grabbed a pair of black leggings, a red t-shirt, socks, and a black zip up hoodie. You got dressed hairy quickly, combing your hair and leaving your face void of makeup. You grabbed your phone and wallet. You didn't care to look at your red puffy eyes from the crying, because you knew it was there. So you popped on your shoes and jogged to the cafe. Again, you wanted caffeine but...you noticed that you were rushing to Chris. Why?
You once again, let your hands drag open the door to the cafe and you were again welcomed by the scent of coffee and the small ding.
Jisungs eyes met yours once again. He waved and pointed to the seat you sat yesterday. Chris was there, with what looked like a caramel Frappe. You smiled and walked over and pointed to the seat.
"May I sit here?" You smiled at him as he looked up at you. He grinned and moved his hair out of his face.
"You don't have to ask." His voice was even welcoming to you. You sat down and looked into his eyes.
"This is for you." He slid over an extra large caramel frappe. Your smile dropped and he watched it happen. So then, his smile went away too. "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing! How much was-"
"You don't have to pay for the drink. I have you covered." He spoke quickly, waving his hand in a "go ahead" motion, as a go ahead to start drinking it.
"But seriously I have-"
"Pay me with a date."{oooo cliff hanger! unedited once again but it took me forever because I wanted to fit so much into it. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Updates coming soon. 1,162 words
