It was a day like any other. Or so I thought. My mother, Harley Quinn, woke me up at one o'clock that morning.
Mom: Skylar, get up. You have to eat breakfast and pack you bags.
Me: Why do I have to get up so early and why do I have to pack my bags?
Mom: Beacuse we are going to Gotham city and you are coming with us.
Me: Why can't I just stay here with aunt ivy?
Of course I soon regretted asking that question. My dad, the joker, immediatley answered my question.
Dad: Because your mother and I now rule Gotham and one day you will rule it too. This is what we have trained you for. Wether you like it or not it is your destiny to be princess of Gotham.
Dad always brings it up. He always goes on and on about how my destiny is to rule Gotham city. I quickly got bored of his lecture. My mom always tried to sugar coat it in some way.
Mom: Skylar sweety, you are going to love it there. We will have a big party to celebrate your arrival.
Dad: We best hurry if we are going to beat traffic.

Author's note: this is the first book I have ever written. Please don't judge. I hope you enjoy it.
