The maze runner (fanfic)

~ chapter 2 ~

                                "The maze"

"what?" I half whisper, half shout.

"look, tori... never mind. You get the tour from Alby tomorrow, all will be explained, well, most of it." Minho says.

I crease my eyebrows, "I can tell everyone hates me."

Minho bites his lip. "I don't."

I look up, "thanks. I guess...."

"pretty sure them two shuckfaces over there don't hate you either." he inclines his head to Newt and Thomas.

"well yea but.... there is that tall, freckly one."

Minho laughs at me, I frown and cross my arms.

"Gally?"

"I think so, I don't know any names...." I sigh and look down. Minho tilts my chin up.

"dude, should've seen him when Thomas came," he laughs, "still hates his shank guts."

"Did you just call me a dude?" I smirk.

"Fine, dude-ette then!" he says, "let's go back over to them."

We walk over to the others.

"you two lovers had your fill?" Thomas smirks.

I scrunch up my nose and Minho laughs, looks at me, then looks away.

Before anymore can be said a loud voice yells,

"GATHERING!"

Minho and Newt share confused glances.

Newt looks at me and Thomas, "err, back soon I guess."

And they are gone.

"what's a gathering?" I ask, feeling stupid.

"When all the keepers, the bosses of all the jobs, come together for a sort of meeting." he says.

"what about?"

"we have never ever got a girl." he meets my eye then smiles.

   Thomas continues,

                         "Good to have you though."
