A dream coming true (Stranger Things)

Chapter 1

-Mom I'm going to the mall!

-Okay sweetie! Oh and, Rose?

-Yeah?

-Don't spend too much money on candies!

- Yes mom!

I open the door and get out of the house. Finally, it's the weekend! I can do other things than homeworks and going to school! The city I live in is little, so every interesting things are around the same place, and luckily, I live near all those things! So I can just go on a walk to the mall.

When I enters in the mall, because of the wind, I almost fall and I lose my beanie (we're in winter). I try to proudly pick up my beanie on the disgusting ground and I put it in my pocket. Then, I walk in the mall like nothing happened. Unfortunately, a man sitting on a bench saw what happened. I walk in front of him trying to look normal, but he keeps staring at me. I ignore him and go shopping.

I have a lot of fun shopping, but the only thing that bothers me is that man who follows me wherever I go. And he keeps staring at me! He's freaking me out, but I still decide to go talk to him:

- Hum, hi, can I help you?

- Oh, in fact, yes. But first, let me apologize. You probably didn't like the fact that a man followed you everywhere.

-Hum, yeah.

- Okay so now, I'll explain why I was looking at you. I'm looking for a new actress for a character in a show. I need an Canadian girl with an accent, and the character will be know to be unlucky and to destroy everything she touches, you know what I mean? Well, I decided to come in malls everywhere in Canada to find my girl, and I think I just found her! Do you have any experiences in acting?

- Well, I mean, I've done theather...

-Okay, it'll work. Would you be interested in being a professional actress?

- Hum, well, I never thought about that, but yes.

- Okay, says the man, handing me paperwork, here's some things you need to know about the show and the contrat you need to sign. When you've made your decision and signed the papers, call me on the phone number on the papers.

-Oh, hum, okay.

- All right. I'll let you go.

- Okay. Thank you, mister...?

- Call me Shawn.

-Okay, thanks Shawn!

I laugher and went away. I hurry to my house. Woah! I never knew something like that could happen to me in this little tow! Being a professional actress, what a dream! I could be the next Millie Bobby Brown! I would have millions of fans all around the world! It would be a perfect life, traveling all around the world... My life would never be boring anymore! I would totally accept what the man proposed me, but I need to convince my mom first (my dad died when I was 4). And she can be very strict, so I hope she'll say yes!

I open the door of my house and say:

-Mooooooom? You'll never guess what happened to me at the mall!

- I don't know, honey.

I hand her the paperwork and say:

-A man offered me to be a professional actress!

-What? Why you?

- Uh... I answered, offensed by her response, because I almost fell when I entered the mall.

-Well. Honestly, honey, it doesn't look real for me.

- I'm sure it is!

- I don't think so.

- So what do I say to Shawn?

- Shawn?

- It's the name of the man.

- Okay. Well, tell "Shawn" that it's no.

- But mom!! Something exciting was finally happening to me!

- Oh, stop complaining. There's children in Africa with worst lives than you.

-Mom!!

- It's no, Rose. I don't believe one second that this is real.

- URRRRGHHHH!

I take back the paperwork, and I look on it to find Shawn's number. I find it. Hey, wait a minute... Shawn's last name is Levy. Shawn Levy... I heard that name somewhere...

I start to read the paperwork. And then, I realize that the show I was casted for is Stranger Things! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod I'm freaking out. I start to breathe heavily.

My mom, anxious, looks at me and says:

-Honey, are you okay?!

- Uh... Yes! I answer with difficulty.

- I'm taking you to the hospital!

- No mom, I'm okay, I answer, breathing again. It's just that, mom... The show is Stranger Things!

-What? What are you talking about? I know perfectly that your favorite show is Stranger Things!

-No, mom! The show I got casted for! It's Stranger Things!

My mom look at me, shocked. Then, she starts screaming:

- Oh my god Rose that's amazing! You will meet Noah and Sadie!

- I knooooow! So is that a yes?

- It sure is a yes!

- Yayyyyyyy!

I start to dance around the house. I'll be in Stranger Things! I will be famous! I will travel! I'll meet Noah and Sadie! I never would have thought that it could happens to me, a nobody Canadian girl! It's a dream coming true!
