My Friend

This was written over the course of five months, so our personalities changed a little bit. Also, this was written in collaboration with DinoLauren my irl friend. We've known each other since first grade. You should check her out!

Me: Hello again! I brought my friend this time. This is Lauren.

Lauren: Sa dudes.

Keefe: Not her again.

Linh: She's not so bad. Besides, I think we should meet her friend.

Lauren: ILoveJustinBeiber

Sophie: How dare you??!!! He's mine.

Me: Eww. Okay Lauren, now I get to introduce you to everyone. First is Sophie. She is mega powerful. She can read minds, inflict pain on people, teleport, speak any language-

Sophie: She gets the idea!!!

Me: And she's super clumsy and awkward.

Lauren: She must be my spirit girl. Those are my dream powers. The only difference between her and me is that she isn't the best. Whereas I am the best.

Me: Okaaaaayyyy. Here's Dex, my favorite character!

Dex: Character?

Me: Long Story. My point is, he is totally awesome. He's really good with gadgets and alchemy, but gets forgotten about a lot. He's super sweet, and he has secret dimples.

Lauren: Sounds pretty cool. Dude. I can totally sympathize. I am like a side character in my class. But I am the best. You need to just scream a lot, like me, to be noticed. Tell me how that goes for you.

Dex: Ummm...🤨🤨 I think there is seriously something wrong with you. Hey, person, make Lauren talk to Tam next!!!

Me: Okay. So this is Tam. He's pretty much the group's emo kid. He controls shadows and is super Savage. Also, whatever you do, don't make fun of his bangs.

Lauren: Nice, he sounds pretty ok. Not as quirky as the others, not an emo, so can't really think of a way to really in any way relate. I'm like the polar opposite, except not...

Tam: Whatever. You're just another Keefe. Let me guess, you want to be called Lord Hunkyhair as well or something. Bye.

Linh: Tam, be nicer! Lauren's a guest.

Lauren: Yeah, you're nice. Tell me about her, Annemarie.

Fitz: Her name is Annemarie?

Me: Not the point, Fitz. Linh is a sweety-pie animal-lover who can control water. She's pretty awesome, but you don't want to get on her bad side.

Lauren: Chill. She seems cool. How do I get on her bad side, exactly?

Me: Be her parents.

Lauren: Not in a weird way, obviously.

Me: Huh? I am confuzzled.

Lauren: Oh, innocent child.

Me: I'm older than you and I introduced you to Wattpad. (She's DinoLauren by the way.)

Biana: What about me???

Me: Okay, so this is Biana. Basically, I think she'd be a TikTok VSCO girl if she was real. She's that 'time to go to the mall' character. The thing is, she really proved how tough she is in Nightfall. You can clearly see her scars.

Lauren: Dang. She cool. Us girls have to prove ourselves.

Me: Okay, next is Fitz, my second favorite character.

Lauren: You should stop saying character. You're gonna freak them out.

Me: Meh, it's fiiiinnnneee. So anyway, Fitz is basically the perfectionist with anger issues.

Lauren: Should you be telling him he has anger issues???

Me: He already knows. Alden, anyone?

Everyone: Yeah, uh-huh.

Lauren: What's Alden.

Me: Alden's a who, not a what. He's Fitz's dad. And lastly, Keefe, your new spirit animal that acts a lot like Parker from your story The Followers of Fate.

Lauren: I know, in this you should make me the character from Followers of Fate.

Me: Aren't you already?

Lauren: Maaayyybbbeee. I guess over text I'm not as awkward.

Me: We got off topic! You never actually reacted to Keefe!

Lauren: Okee dokee, but if he's anything like Parker, I don't know if I'll like him.

Me: Alright, well it's time to go before I tell them they are characters from KotLC by Shannon Messenger. Oops! Bye.
