Chapter 4

amusement park!

"can you believe we made it through the week?" heejin stretched her arms the minute the group reached the gates. september sunshine rained down on them as they looked around for their car. in the front, a lot of students stood in front of a line of limousines and chauffeurs opening and closing doors.

they skipped the line to look for their own vehicle.

"it's insane! this is why i don't miss school." soyeon agreed.

"but it's friday! you know what that means!" somi skipped around them in a hurry to get to their car.

"yeah, yeah. why don't we just go tomorrow? i'm tired." jungkook grumbled, searching for the car keys in his pockets. somi swung by to hit him with her book bag.

"hey! i can just drive you straight home, you know!" jungkook yelled.

"then i'll ask ken to take us!" somi stuck out her tongue before heading to the car door. the vehicle that awaited them this time, was the benz they took out the first day of their reunion. the sleek black car sat in the school parking lot, not exactly standing out of the other luxurious cars all the other students drove. but with no doubt, it definitely blended in.

soyeon rushed into the passenger seat, crying out the words "shot gun!".

"gee, who's going to tell her she always gets shot gun?" heejin said sarcastically, throwing her bag in the car before getting in herself. as soon as everyone got in the car, they drove away safely. a request from heejin and her poor organs.

"hey! are we going to change at home?!" heejin yelled over the music. somi turned down the music herself by standing up in the car and turning the dial manually.

the girl sat back down to gasp dramatically.

"heejin? have you never experienced the fun and excitement of going with your friends to the amusement park after school?" somi said that all in one breath.

"no?" heejin gave her a side eye.

"what?! it's apart of literally everyone's high school experience!" soyeon turned her head towards the back.

"i never went." jungkook stated before rushing a yellow light.

"yeah 'cause you were a loner." soyeon laughed while slapping her brothers arm.

"i prefer the term 'lone wolf'. plus i was handsome in high school." he barked back offensively.

"not with that haircut you used to have. the only time you looked decent was junior year, when you had that emo phase." soyeon defended, recalling the terrible bowl cut he wore before getting an undercut that made him look like a gangster, courtesy of their father's actual gang members.

"yeah, right." jungkook scoffed.

"okay, coconut head." somi laughed in the back.

"bitch, i won't hesitate-" jungkook craned his head to look at the younger one, who stuck out her tongue vulgarly.

"keep your eyes on the road!" heejin screeched as they swerved. jungkook steadied the car, horns honking behind him angrily. he laughed it off as he sped off to their destination.
