I packed everything up and got a car to come pick me up. I texted Chris and told him that I was staying the night at his house. I told him not to tell my family.

I had gotten out of the dress and taken off all my makeup.

I knew my way around Chris's house like the back of my hand. So I knew where he hid his secret stash of wine and candy. I went right for that and found a romantic movie putting on.

Chris walked in an hour later and sat down next to me as he took off his tie.

"Well that man was a lot of fun." I chuckled nodding my head as I kept my eyes on the screen.

"Come here baby girl." He pulled my body to his as he wrapped his arms around me. And I promised I wasn't going to cry but I lied. I did right there and then.

"I think I have to go."

"What?" He pulled back a little and looked down on me.

"I need to leave now Chris. It hurts to watch Layla and Luca together when I want so bad for it to be me."

"That doesn't mean you need to run away Dove." I pulled away and grabbed for the wine bottle putting it to my lips and taking a big swig.

"No it doesn't. But I can't stay Chris. I deserve to be happy and I cant be if I stay and watch this happen. That and maybe a break is what I need."

He sighed and took the bottle from my hands taking a swig to.

"Then I'll go with you."

Chris stopped the car and got out helping me grab my bags.

"I can go with you."

"No you can't Chris. Your life is here. Everything you love and know is here."

"That's true but I can start all over again with you. We've never been apart since the day I punched Wisconsin in the face on the playground when he pulled your hair."

I laughed remembering that day like it was yesterday. He has been with me since 1st grade and now was the time that we grew up.

"We will FaceTime everyday."

"Then we are getting drunk tonight in celebration. This isn't the only bottle and bag of candy I got."

He jumped off the couch and ran to get the rest. And he made tonight the best one for us both.

Even though I wasn't leaving tonight we talked like it was the end of the world.

The next morning we both pulled up to the bus station with sunglasses on. He was t kidding when he said we would get drunk.

We got out of the car and he walked around to my side. He leaned into the car crossing his arms.

"Your really going to make me cry Bitch." I laughed and threw my arms around him.

"I'll call you once I get there but right now I need you to make sure that no one ever comes looking for me."

He sighed nodding his head. I knew he didn't want to do this but he would.

"Give this to my dad. It's a sorry from me." He took the note and pulled me to him.

"Please call me when your there."

"I'll call you every day."

"How about three times a day?"

I laughed knowing that I would miss this.

"Even better."

We pulled back and I saw he was crying like me.

"Your my best friend." I said with a smile

"Hell bitch your my only friend." He pulled me to him again and I couldn't help but laugh.

This time I pulled back and grabbed my bag from him. I turned and walked to the door and looked back one last time as I saw him wave from the side wall. I waved before I turned to start my new life.
